Q: I am thinking about swapping out BLX for ENB. I am holding the investment primarily for income. May I get your take on which you prefer as a long term hold? Thanks very much.

Q: Based on my TD Webroker Analyst ratings, ANGIE STOROZYNSKI and Analyst with Seaport Global has a 4.5 star rating as a result of her PERFORMANCE WIN-LOSS RATE
84 Out of 128 Successful Ratings(66%) and an Average Return Per Rating
+12.0%
Now I know generally we're not supposed to take analyst ratings that much into account with maybe the exception of "..are the analysts ratings trending up or down".
Is that the theory I should be be taking with analysts ratings? What's 5i philosopy on analysts ratings and do you take note of any prominent analysts in the investment field?
Those questions aside Neil Kalton from Wells Fargo with a similar rating but an average of half of Angie's came out with a rating for Nextera Energy NEE on the same day as her. His is for a target price of $85 and hers is for $44. It seems mind boggling how two analysts can have both and upside of 30% percent and a downside of 30% on the same stock on the same day being the most recent analyst opinions on the stock??? What is your price point for NEE today, Is it a buy, sell or hold. What price would you get in at because I'd like to average down on the position I have on it now. Thanks for the help to clear things up.
Hope everyone has a good Easter Weekend.
Cheers

Q: Can you please comment on how BCE is progressing with its long term goals.
Also, can you please compare its EBITDA for 2023 to its past history. Are things getting better or worse ? Thank you very much

Q: Ing vs umax for sustainable dividend? Thanks
Q: Do you have any insights into GXE? It's oddly holding at .64 despite Oil rising and other companies moving higher. Beyond the dividend cut and strategic review flop, is there anything else you can add about their prospects? Thanks.
Q: HAS GAINED SOME MOMENTUM RECENTLY. BESIDES HAVING A NICE DIVIDEND,
what is your opinion?

Q: I'd like to invest a substantial inheritance in solid, relatively safe dividend stocks in a non-registered account for a stream of tax-efficient income. Can you suggest 7-8 stocks for me to consider and do you consider that number enough for diversification? Would you buy in gradually over the year or invest all at once? Is it unwise to invest in Canadian stocks only ( have geographic diversification in my registered accounts)? I won't need the income for 2-3 years and will probably hang on to them for life, whatever that may be (I'm in my late 50s). Thanks. I have tons of credits - use as many as needed.
Q: Currently down 15% on both. Make any sense to take a loss On tellus to double down On bell? Or hold or better some other suggestions for more recovery potential.?Tks. Larry

Q: I'm curious as to the lack of a high dividend paying etf in your Income portfolio? Also curious as to your thoughts on the partial use for these in a RRIF or PLIf account ( I am in MB and we have PLIF's). I'm setting up a PLIF and considering having more than a full position of HDIV, along with big stable dividend growers I'd pick from your favorites. I have a RRSP of the same value of the PLIF and investments in TFSA. I've been 100% equities all my life, eat volitility for breakfast. If you were setting up your own PRIF, looking to make significant income, what would it look like?

Q: I will need to sell one or a combination of several of these stocks for my RRIF withdrawal. EIF (gain )has been good to me over the years , SPB ( loss ) hopefully Certarus acquisition will help , BEPC ( loss ), spinout , full portfolio position of BEP.UN .
Would you sell a full position of one of these or split between the 3 ( or 2 ) . How would you proceed ? Thanks Derek

Q: Good morning,
Perhaps I am over-thinking this, and I know there have been a lot of BCE-related questions recently. But I am starting to hear more regarding potential retaliatory measures by the Federal Government and the CRTC in response to BCE's recent layoffs, station closings and general expenditure cuts.
I wonder if you share this view, and if so, have a view as to what might be possible. Personally I find it somewhat "distressing" and distasteful that this is happening, as any retaliation will clearly impact longer-term price directionality and have significant dividend repercussions.
Thanks as always.

Q: Greetings, can you suggest a handful of Canadian names (not financials) that you would consider to have a “margin of safety” right now? I know value ideas aren’t necessarily your investing style, but I don’t want any more money sitting on the sidelines while “waiting for the other shoe to drop”, so looking for something steady with a reasonable dividend that might offer some downside protection. Thank you.
Q: Good morning all
TVE has been rising nicely. Do you still see this as a buy, if not is there another oil/energy company you would recommend for growth.

Q: Greetings:
Yesterday, March 25 you gave a good rundown on Tve in answer to a question from Norwood. I bought 1850 shares on March 7, 2023 @ 4.11. The reports by 5i and others at that time were very encouraging, as they are today. It went down and stayed there all year, until very recently. It is cheap compared to some other oil names-- Agree or no?. I am interested in buying more but need your opinion. The other very important matter is from Ink Research who today reports that there is a short squeeze on TVE. Could you please provide the % of shorts? Doesn't it seem odd that there would be a short squeeze. ? If you agree, would it be better to wait until it settles down? I await your valued input. With thanks, Ben.

Q: I am selling BCE for tax purposes and possibly buying it back after 30 days. What would be some possible good replacements in a taxable account for tax efficient income. Healthy, relatively high and safe eligible dividend more important than growth. Irregardless of sector. Stock or etf.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Q: Hi,
NPI stock is down almost 10% today on the following news "NPI announced a CEO transition, with CEO Mike Crawley stepping down and chair of the board of directors John Brace moving into the role of interim CEO."
It seems that some investors are not happy with that move... Since it is supposed to be a "transition move" I do not understand the market reaction that seems exagerated...
First question: Am I missing something?
Second question: With what we know now at what price would you feel that NPI is a real bargain?
Thank you
Michel
