Q: Ing vs umax for sustainable dividend? Thanks
Asked by Tom on March 28, 2024
5i Research Answer:

UMAX is still relatively new, which was just available starting in June 2023. Since going public, UMAX has paid a sustainable dividend, but UMAX did cut its monthly dividend from $0.175 per share to $0.172 per share starting at the end of FY2023.

On the other hand, ING’s dividend track record is pretty lumpy, with a volatile dividend payment amount and occasional special dividend, ING also cut dividends in FY2020 and only resumed its dividends mid FY2021. That said, ING did have a large buyback program recently.
