Q: Good Morning Team,
Would you be able to give us an update on both of these and let us know which one you prefer? Why? Or would you buy both to diversify?
It is still January, so Happy 2019 everyone!

Q: Hi,
Can you suggest 1 or 2 good DOW etfs, both hedged and unhedged. I am leaning toward unhedged at the moment as our dollar is quite strong.
Thank You, John

Q: I would like to buy a US stock for my son’s RRSP account. I am considering BAC Bank of America. With current value of CAD/US is it a good time to buy into US market using CDn dollars or should I just stay in the Canadian stocks. Any other US stock suggestions ?
Thanks Kathy
Thanks Kathy

Q: I have a question about Gold. Specifically I would understand gold to a be good risk hedge against rising interest rates. Looking to take a position in one or more gold companies with some potential for growth....any suggestions would be appreciated. Maybe a couple higher risk small caps and also some big players....Gold Corp seems like they are doing well recently.

Q: Thanks for your recent reply -- but I think my question was misunderstood.
While I thank you for the recommendations on SQ, CGNX and ALGN, they are all in the Technology sector, which is something I would like to move away from at this time.
Even if I retain a 5% position in Netflix, Nvda and Shopify, that would bring me to a 15% in my portfolio, which I think 5I suggests should be a good enough weighting at this time.
Could you please provide a few names, with good growth, outside of tech? Your favourites?
Please deduct as many points as is required -- as I've got lots in store. : ) Sorry for being such a pest, but I suppose my first question was misunderstood?
Thank you!

Q: My TFSA Account is primarily made up of the stocks indicated above. In 2017, my net performance was around 2.8%. Would you provide suggestions for a growth stock with reasonable valuations that might help boost performance in 2018 and advise on a reasonable price for point of entry? Also, are there stocks that I hold that you view as a trade at this point with the goal of achieving a reasonable return with moderate risk?
Q: Hey there,
I am interested in US large cap value stocks. Is there an ETF on the tsx will give me exposure? If not, do you have a recommendation for an ETF in the US?
Thanks

Q: You mentioned that for ETF's that up to 10% holding is fine, would holding XGD up to 10% be okay if you only have TFSA account and is only around $20,000 and this would be the only material sector stock that you own or is this too high. Currently have a 5% weight.
Thanks
Thanks

Q: Would it make sense for New Flyer to buy Grande West? Do the 2 companies produce different types of buses?
Q: A hypothetical. If one had enough money to purchase the entirety of one of your portfolios, would you recommend an even percentage of each stock, or should one also look at the relative volatility of the stocks?
Q: Hello
My question is related to the vastly discounted price that Canadian oil companies are able to achieve for their product, with many analysts indicating they need to get it to either or both coasts so it can be sold for a better price. I would think that the rail companies are probably getting some of the oil to the coasts, and have to potential to move greater volumes even if more costly than pipelines. Are CNR or CP in the position to benefit form this need to move the oil to 'tide water'?
Thanks,
Brian

Q: Good morning. I'm looking to take a position in this company based on your recommendation and the fact it has fallen like a rock. What I'm trying to figure out is what can they do in the future to add to their 3 safety innovations? Is their growth projection based on what they have now and future sales only? Thanks
