Q: Hi, can i get your opinion on US hotel Reits and if you have to own 1, which one will it be and why?

Q: I'm considering buying HDIV ETF. On the ETF website it shows a 2023 total distribution of $1.974 and a ROC (return of capitol) of $ 1.66201 . After watching a video of ROC sometimes the ROC is not a reduction of NAV but just for tax purposes. And in some instances it is actually a return of your own capital and your NAV is reduced. Can you give some clarity on ROC. And how to determine if an ETF in my investment account has dropped in value from return of my own capital or loss of the underlying securities of ETF? My personal situation all my investment accounts are RRSP and TSFSA.

TVE, with a small loss. Current price $3.99
Royal Dutch Shell, with great gain. Current price $68 USD.

Q: Hello,

Topicus, lately is showing solid momentum, with stock hitting an all time high, Today. On the other hand, Lumine has lagged behind, specially after the recent results. Do you believe that this divergence in stocks behaviour is temporary or it is signalling any longer term concerns for the latter ?

Also, based on their current valuation, does it make one more attractive than the other . in the near term and what would be the price points to accumulate ?

Q: I know I'm being lazy. However, can you help me to understand, when share prices are not too different ($17.80 vs $17.05), why would someone purchase the "E" series rather than the "F" series.
It seems to occur with a number of companies, a wide disparity on the dividend yields paid within their PR's sphere of series. Just interest rates at the time of origin or re-set dates?

Q: My question on the (former?) ETF XOUT. I held it not too long ago, but sold it. I've made the decision to re-invest in this ETF for the long term, but see that it seems to no longer exists. Do you know what happened to it?

It invested in the US large cap index subtracting any companies that would not do well in a future of disruption. If it no longer exists, is there any type of ETF like this available out there?

Q: Given the announcement today of BCE selling its interest in MLSE, the market seems to be reacting somewhat positively to the news - I’m curious as what do you think is a comfortable level of debt that the market is looking for? How much more assets do you think the market would like BCE to shed and apply to debt reduction??

Q: Thanking you for your advice on Karora Resources - a tidy profit , and now I own shares in Westgold after the takeover . When will you update your data on this company ? Nothing of real value on your website at present .
From company press releases the company has a market cap of some 2 billion or thereabouts , and expects to produce 400,000 + ounces of gold in 2025 . Expects significant financial savings from the takeover of Karora . Appears to be a real gem of a company . Do any analysts follow it ?

Q: Could you please comment on the Aug 28th Q2 2024 Results for Redishred Capital Corporation (KUT). A search of your past answers to queries on the company have indicated a problem with liquidity and earnings growth. Cormark has bumped it's target price slightly to $6.00 which is almost double the current share price and wondering if anything has changed..
