Q: Hi 5i, scanned comments for review of recent quarter but could not find anything. Pls opine on their results. Is there any reason for the slow grind down over the last year? I would have thought the "big beautiful" bill coming this year would ignite consumer spending hence their toll fees. I'm looking to lighten up on my Cad financial sector holding due to the lack of progress in our economy getting anything built, plus the bleeding of manufacturing jobs and increasing delinquencies. Q: In your answer to Kevin’s February 13 question about AI outfits scraping and using proprietary information, you referred to the legal consequences to doing that; there is currently an application to a Court in California to approve a $1.5 Billion settlement by Anthropic for copyright infringement by authors and publishers. Presumably that kind of amount will be something of a guardrail.

Q: RSP is the equal weight S&P 500 ETF available from US exhange with an MER of 0.2%. IMO this MER seems high since the the normal S&P 500 ETF is .03%. Do you know of any similar alternatives at more competitive MER's closer to .03%? Many thanks.

1. The last time a question was posted on this platform, regarding Allied was in November. Does that suggest a lack of interest? 11 year lows can't be helping much.


2. There are many insider buys at less than $200 per transaction. On January 14th, an insider spent just $43! To my eyes, unusual, so my question - why would insiders buy in such tiny tranches?

3. Payout ratio's - I'm having trouble trusting some of the numbers out there. What do you think it is and after the December dividend reduction, do you think future dividends are relatively safer?

4. What's the connection with CHP.UN and is it a good sign?

5. Oversold? At what price would you consider the purchase worth the risk / reward ?

Q: I would appreciate your comments on the recent weakness in WSP’s share price. Could you please outline the main factors behind the sudden drop and whether this appears to be short-term market volatility or something more fundamental?

In particular, is the recent acquisition a significant factor in the decline, and if so, how do you assess the risks and potential long-term benefits from that transaction?

Additionally, at current price levels, would you consider WSP a buy, a hold, or a position to trim for a long-term investor? Any perspective on valuation, outlook, and key risks would be greatly appreciated.

Stephen Harper, our past Prime Minister remarked recently that Canadians should not be complacent in the notion that post USMCA discussions we will go back to easy access to the US market. Are you able to comment on what independent investors should be taking from this and how to manage investment strategy accordingly? It would appear that there could be different layers to this worth considering, and also that a do-nothing solution should not be as reliable as it had been in the past. For international exposure, I was thinking of buying equal amounts of Vanguard VEQT, and Bmo ZDI or should i diversify and buy equal amounts of the two plus the Manulife IDIV-B international dividend etf . These 2 or 3 three (based on your view) would be in addition to the US ETF , VUN on toronto and XIU on toronto ..Your comments would be appreciated .
