I agree with your previous poster commenting on the ability to journal Cdn companies to the US side of your portfolio. I deal with 2 differnet bank/brokerage and both let me do it without hassle however, you can get the wrong information from a call centre person. If you don't like the answer, ask to speak to a supervisor.

Or move your money to one that will - these days they are all sensitive to losing balances!

Jeff Tonkin, CEO of Birchcliff Energy (BIR-T)was on BNN-Commodities show this morning and discussed a recent change with TC Energy for buyers of Canadian Nat Gas to now be able to put their gas into storage year round as they are not required to have fixed and interruptible transportation. He said this puts a floor on the natural gas pricing. Do you agree and do you see this as significantly contributing to BIR-T and other nat gas producers bottom line and ultimately increasing their share prices? Thanks

Q: Often, you have people like Richard this morning, writing to you about advice they've received from their brokers that doesn't make sense. One must bear in mind that the people answering the calls are at a call-centre, and some are more knowledgeable than others. When I get a response that sounds iffy or doesn't make sense, I call back a bit later, get someone else on the phone, repeat my question, and more often than not I get a totally different answer.

Q: They issued guidance yesterday that sounds promising. This is an American healthcare company that lists on the Canadian venture exchange. The press release says they are exploring a US listing in 2020. There may be a nice buying opportunity here, before they list in the US. Viemed is a similar stock that comes to mind. Largely ignored on the Cdn exchanges until the Americans started buying. One that bears watching.

Q: Would you please evaluate their recent acquisition in terms of the dilution of shares debt and what it might mean to future earnings and would you recommend adding to a small position? Thank you.

I looked on the investor area of their web site and found very little information.
Where can I find more detailed breakdown of their financials?
What percentage of shares does Brian Baulmer actually own?
It looks to me like he is just the celebrity marketing face of the company and provides
some consulting on the side.
Can I also get your thoughts on this company?

Q: Hi Everyone at 5i ...me again. I have a non registered account with the following breakdown: 60% GICs ( because this is my retirement money and I am conservative and I know that GICs in a non registered account are a losing proposition as far a inflation etc. )..10% XHY/CPD.....and 30% stocks..BMO, ZUT, ZWE,BNS,BCE,BAM.A,BEP,UN,BPY.UN,CCL,CAR,ET,FTS,GSY,HR.UN,KXS ,NTR,OTEX,PEO,QSR,SLF,T,TD,VFV,WSP. Now to my question....I am generating $30,000. Combo dividend ( a larger percentage ) and interest income . I want to increase this but at a lower risk. .I would like to extract 150K from the GIC column and produce a higher level of dividend on these monies, but yet, keep things as conservative as possible ( this is called having your cake and eating it too.) What would you suggest?...I thought I might divide this between XBB, CPD or....your suggestion. Thank you for your help, Cheers, Tamara
