Q: What's your favorite pick for travel, when this COVID finally ends. MAR has future earnings forcast to grow 53% from what i have read, but coming off terrible numbers maybe that isn't so great.
thanks

Q: If we found a Covid-19 vaccine tomorrow, what are the most depressed companies now that would benefit the most?

Q: My powder keg is dry waiting for the covid 2nd wave and in my opinion anticipated second market adjustment. The recent jitters made me realize I haven't made my buy plan for my cash...I am pleased with my portfolio and don't have any huge gaps, I am slowly switching from growth to income so am looking more toward your income portfolio for inspiration. In Canada ENB and H looked like good buy options and I already own Suncor so would top up on that as well to a full position. In the USA I am leaning towards P&G and Coke. These complement my current holdings and I feel these additions will do OK in a possible extended covid induced economic slowdown as well as be good long term income holdings.

Any names you wished you had added on the last drop or names you are watching with interest?

Q: Hi 5i gang,
I suspect that travel-related stocks are at their bottoms or nearly so. My impression is that airlines will be first sub-sector to rally, especially if the U.S. government goes ahead and sends them big stimulus checks that are being rumoured about these days. Given this context, which airline companies in your opinion have the best prospects of returning to their prior Covid-19 levels?

Q: Thx as always for your amazing service.
You mentioned 4 of the above names in a vaccine / recovery scenario. I already own DOO and GC, and I am looking to add two. Can you please rank them 1) in terms of risk 2) recovery potential from current levels

Thx Brian

Q: Can you give me a couple cyclical names in both US and Canada that you think look interesting here? Thanks

Q: Which 5 Canadian and US companies would 5i want to be holding when we get a significant market moving vaccine/treatment announcement? Tech and gold have been powerful during the pandemic but I want to make sure I am considering the right companies to add to provide balance if tech pauses and different sectors are needed for a leg higher. Your favs in each market and how/why you see them reacting to the announcement. Multiple credits are assumed.

Q: Hi Peter and Ryan.
The market is a bit crazy lately, with many tech companies reaching all time high, as if the covid-19 has never happened. I think there should be good companies that are still worth to buy. I am wondering how you think about the listed three companies (e.g. CAR, EXPE, LUV).

Thank you,
Yiwen

Q: I bought these three stocks (CAR, LUV and ELY) for the eventual bounce, which has come far more quickly than I imagined. My plan was to set a target and then sell because I don't consider any of them to be especially good long term holds. Are any of them what you would consider to be great companies? Thank-you again for sage advice in turbulent times.

Q: Dear Peter and Ryan.
Thank you for your help through the volatile market. Though the Economy is not back yet, we may be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel soon. I checked a few stocks. Airlines and Energy have been down a lot. I want to take advantage of the market and consider allocating 10% of my RRSP to these companies (AC, UAL, EXPE, CVX and SU). I like to think about 2-3 years or longer. Currently I don't own any airlines. I own TOU only for oil industry.

Thank you,
Yiwen

Q: I am looking to begin to sell puts on the scarier parts of the US economy. Not the scariest, so no cruise lines, but airlines, entertainment, hospitality, automakers, restaurants would be fair game. I can't even look at Tesla and I know that LUV has been your preference among US airlines. Given that the chief criteria of this trade is that the company survive is LUV still your preferred recommendation among airlines? Can you recommend any other beaten down stocks in these sectors that you are reasonably sure will come through the other end of this, whenever that is. US listed companies only please due to option liquidity. Thank-you, once again, for all your sage advice!

Q: Hello Peter and co,
Thank you for your voice of reason in these crazy times! My 18-year old granddaughter has been talking about investments, and recently announced that she has decided she wants to invest in a cruise line company, since they are probably way down. Her thinking makes some sense to me, as the cruise industry will survive, and the strongest players may benefit from assimilation of weaker players assets. Similar thinking regarding airlines. In both cases, bankruptcy may be a risk. Is it safe to assume that buying these sectors is a good long term strategy, and if so, which companies would you suggest? Presumably strong balance sheet is a must. I think I read that Warren Buffett bought some Delta Airlines shares recently. Considering all that, what would you suggest for a young 18-year old?
Thanks.

Q: Which of these airlines would you choose given the market downturn and uncertain recovery time in the travel industry? I am looking at buying incrementally into a speculative position over the next six months. I would consider Delta, however USD are expensive at this time. Should that be a consideration?
