Q: I have decided this year to add short positions to my portfolio. Can you recommend any good short sellers or publications to follow? (I currently follow Marc Cohodes & Citron)

Secondly, can you give a short list (maybe 5?) of companies to look at for short positions.

Q: Morningstar has placed H&R within its "Dangerous Portfolio", "that looks for companies with undesirable fundamental characteristics. The strategy itself is designed to underperform the market."

How to you rate H&R among Canadian REITS in general and among those focusing on commercial properties?

Q: Hello 5i
I would like your opinion on Fidelity Asset Allocation Private Pool Series S 8 (138).
It is the only fund I have in a corporate account, that I am drawing income from ( approx. 8%).

What do you think of Agellan REIT and safety of its 6.79% dividend ?
or would it be better to invest in a company like Atrium Mortgage Investment Corp in its latest New Issue of of 11.85 witha 7.43% didvidend?
This would be for our grandchildrens RESP account

Q: I am not comfortable purchasing individual stocks in a small account, with my go to name being ZEB, can you recommend any others that provide the diversification? I'm thinking the US indices hedged back to CAD, is that a good idea and which ETFs would you recommend in that case?

Q: I have about 110,000 dollar that I will be investing in your balanced portfolio and the etf ViG. About 45,000 dollars will be in a non registered account and 65,000 in TFSA. I am avoiding RRSP because I have a good pension. My tax person said that I would save tax by putting the non dividend equities to the non=registered account. I plan to leave the investments in for 7-8 year As well will vig be taxed at a higher rate because it is non-Canadian if it is in the non-registered?

Q: I have a note from you wrt to CPD so am aware of its rate reset properties - which should be positive in the anticipated rising rate environment. However, I have not followed prefs before and wondered how they might perform should we get a significantly negative equity market, and - additionally - whether the managed version might do significantly better in those circumstances. Among the other projects are the $3 billion Atlantic Sunrise project in Pennsylvania, delayed in March, and the $3 billion Jordan Cove LNG project in Oregon, rejected in March. The $700 million Gateway Pacific coal terminal was rejected in May, and the PennEast Pipeline, in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, was delayed in March. The $5.1 billion Atlantic Coast Pipeline in West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina was delayed in April.
