Q: Why is HBC trading approximately 8% below the $10.30 takeover offer? I know Catalyst has indicated that they have enough votes to reject the offer. Even if the offer is rejected and Baker walks away, approximately 85% (Baker's group and the Catalyst block) of the shares are now held by individuals/institutions that believe there is significant long term real estate value. Furthermore, the TD Securities valuation and fairness opinion indicates the company is valued between $10 - $12.25. Shouldn't this set a floor for the stock price?

Q: Hi Team
What do you think about the take over offer? The cynic in me thinks that they let the price fall and then came out with this offer at multi year lows. Who knows want the "true value " is, so many different opinions. With the insiders that put in the offer having 57% of the shares is it not just a slam dunk for them, they can ramrod through anything that they want?
Thanks

Q: Will the closing of Sears (SCC) directly effect any of its rivals?
Hudsons Bay (HBC)
Sleep Country (ZZZ)
Leon’s Furniture Ltd (LNF)

Is there a significant chance for these companies to capitalize on a hole in the market with Sears gone?

Q: Good morning
I was wondering what are your thoughts on Hudson Bay company (HBC). I know retailers are hurting now, is HBC a good value right now? I Recently heard that hbc property holdings are worth quite a bit and that HBC maybe spinning off REIT? What are your thoughts on this and HBC taking over MACY'S.
If HBC is not good, do you have an alternative you recommend?

Q: Given the most recent pullback HBC has come on my radar list as a value play. I'm going to be looking into it today. What are your thoughts? Do you think the decline in share price will force management to create value through their real estate holdings are possibly take the Company private?

Thanks,
Jason
