Seems cheap and also dividend seems nice and plump.

With respect to point two about locking in some profits, I've often wondered how this works for institutions. Would they actually sell their portfolio and go to cash for the remainder of the year? Do most mutual funds not have to be mostly in the market thus having only a small cash position? I suppose you're referencing other major institutions like pension funds, hedge funds, etc.? Are they more flexible in how much cash they can hold?

Personally I'm tempted to sell to lock in my 2020 gains which have been my best ever (lots of great 5i picks, thanks) but then the question of when to get back in always confounds me. I'm all registered accounts to so no loss to write off and no gains to worry about at tax season.

Say one did want to lock in some gains what would you suggest? Selling high fliers, only to potentially miss some more gains? Sell the lagards? Sell the high risk? Balanced?

Are these not similar companies? Briefly, what differentiates therm, and do you have a preference? Would you own both?

Q: In your answer to Ian re good ETFs focused on U S dividend stocks, you didn't mention DXU or DXG. Any reason?

Q: Thanks for your response on the renewable power /clean energy participants; it prompted a closer examination of earnings expectations and current rating for each. With certain exceptions it seems to me that i) rerating and price enhancement took place mostly in 2019, ii) that for the most part valuations are now generous and iii) that the participants are primarily utilities such that, absent special situations, sustainable earnings growth will be modest when compared to growing industrials and others with which we have become accustomed. The discount issue then hinges on valuation methodology; their pe/peg ratios are excessive unless the conventions applying to utilities are very different from generally accepted norms, and I am not familiar with accepted cash flow ratios for the sector if these are appropriate and used. What is the generally accepted pricing criteria for these names and customary ratio ranges. Thank you again.

Q: In the technology sector with the increase in prices of each holding I have gone overweight. I have previously reduced weighting. Have taken profits in each of the above. Could you suggest from first to last which you would be more app to sell either all , some or none
DSG up 25%, KXS up 16%, LSPB up 38%,REAL up 15% , SHOP up 7 %

I have a number of questions regarding shorting securities I hope you can answer;
1. Where does one find out how much it costs to short a security?
2. Who gets the borrow fee for the security?
3. If brokers keep the money can it be a significant amount and why is it not shared with the security owner to be fair?
