To raise our U.S., International, and Consumer Staples sector, please rank these three ETFs . I realize that STPL is the only one of the three that has holdings in countries other than the U.S. This investment would be for our two RRIFs.
Q: In your comments on DXT last October, you were critical of its year-over-year earnings dilution and its long-term growth prospects. Yesterday Scotiabank raised their target to 25% over yesterday's close, and National Bank to 65% over. Has anything changed to improve your view?
Q: Held in my non taxable account and down 50% and less then 2% portfolio is this worth keeping long term ? Being in the 5G space I thought this would be on fire but ends up a dog.
Q: In 6 months my Telus International (TIXT.to) has gone under water 6% : Had I chosen Telus (T.to) , I would have been up over 11%. Ignoring the recent correction,TIXT had already fallen behind Telus.
Is there a better future for T over TIXT ?
Should be be fearing interest rate hikes in the sector ?
Are there seasonal factors to consider ?
Q: Hamilton ETFs recently launched a new ETF - HFIN. I currently own the ishares XFN which is similar, but much larger in size and unleveraged. For a long-term hold, do you think it would be a good switch, or would you leave it as is? (It is held in an RRSP account, so taxes are irrelevant).
Q: I would like an ETF to take advantage of the pull back in tech stocks. I generally like the holdings of XIT except for the huge position in CSU (I bought some anyway because I've always been wrong on CSU). Its a small position which I would like to build on but I would also like to add some US exposure - preferably CAD since I don't feel like exchanging more funds right now. Suggestions?
Also, what is your current opinion of PTF? I only recognize a few of their holdings and have no idea how to assess, apart from noting their reasonably good history.
Q: Got a bit of cash to invest for mid to long term in a non-secured account. . Looking at these two companies. The dividend and capital appreciation appear to be good. Your overall views? Thanks in advance.
What do you think about ET, BCE, EIF? I already own a position in EIF and BCE and was thinking to add more or start a position in ET. This would be an acquisition in my non-registeted account and for a 10-15 time frame. I am primarily a dividend investor, but do look for some growth potential.
Thank you for your diligence and the service you provide!
Q: This microcap stock has had some interesting price action today. It also went up prior to the last quarterly report which was quite good. Could you comment on this report. What do you see as the prospects for this company going forward given current oil prices?
What has happened to the share count over the last 6 years? What is the insider ownership of this company?
Q: Any likelihood of Dominion Lending getting any more Buyers as it moves up to the TSX from the Venture?
Is this move generally good for the share price?
Q: I own the above cdn. energy names and would like to add to one or two of them. Would you please rate them from best to worst in your opinion, and which one, based on current valuation and other metrics, you would add to at this time. Many thanks, Don
