Q: Hello, can you suggest 5 consumer stocks and 5 industrial stocks, either in Canada and US, with a brief reason for each suggestion. I am trying to re-balance my portfolio and I am overweight in tech right now. Thanks!

Q: Can you comment on the company's most recent Q results. It seems the Ace Beverage acquisition is providing a good catalyst for top and bottom line growth but the stock price didn't seem to respond to this. I have held this patiently for several years and am wondering if more patience is warranted or if there is a better alternate you would suggest.

Q: I have been steadily building a position in ATS over the past year.

Recently you answered a question ranking to buy ATS last for long-term growth potential, behind TRI, ATD & DOL.

Also from a recent response, ATS’ eps was expected to increase by 50% next fiscal.

So I’m not sure where to put new money amongst the above companies. Thoughts?

Portfolio-building sometimes feels like making castles in the sand; it starts looking decent, then a wave comes out of the blue ;0)

Q: You may want to wait and provide a reply after the earnings call in the morning. What are your views on earnings? Did TFII break it's losing streak of earnings? How do things look going forward? Is there impetus for the stock to move up in 2024? All things being equal, what is your guess on what the stock will be a year from now?

Q: There are a number of Canadian based NASDAQ100 and S&P500 ETF's. Which NASDAQ100 and S&P500 ETF would you prefer, or would be "best", for a TFSA account, and why? Would investing within an RRSP or in a non-registered account alter your selections and if so, why would that be? Thanks.

Q: Back on 1/20/2024, you thought that these companies (partnerships) would not have withholding tax in the states. I've since received communication from my broker that I have to arrange for a U.S. Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN). They didn't indicate which holdings, but I do own these two companies. Has the company updated their advice? Thanks.

Q: Can I ask you to do a “mental screen” for a few mid-cap Cdn companies that pay over a 3% dividend while having the potential for above average growth in the medium to longer term? Please omit SIS, PBH, EIF and NWC (already owned) and leave out anything in the energy sector. I’m assuming not much in the small cap space would meet the div. criteria and not much in the large cap space meets the growth criteria, but if you think anything there is compelling please include as well. Thank you.
