Thinking of moving to SCHD for more US exposure and I can use the loss on CDZ for taxes

Q: With Tesla hitting 4 quarters of profitability along with the other criteria, they are now eligible for consideration to be added into the S&P. I understand the S&P committee meets on a quarterly basis to rebalance the index, and the next meeting is scheduled for the third Friday in September. What is the time frame post the Sept meeting we can expect an announcement to be made that Tesla is to be added.

Q: If you had an all equity global portfolio with a 15% weighting in Canadian stocks, what names would you choose and in what weightings?

I'm assuming it wouldn't make sense to include all the names from one of the 5i portfolios because many of the positions would be very small in the overall portfolio. I understand an etf would make sense here but I like to avoid the energy sector and that's tough to do with liquid Canadian etfs.

In a recent answer you rated VEEV higher than AYX. I have a half position in VEEV and a full position in AYX. Based on your rating should I trim AYX and add to VEEV or is there not enough difference between their respective performances to warrant such a move?

Q: Hello 5i,
Back in 2008/09 the Fed and Central banks around the world flooded the system with liquidity to avoid a meltdown. I remember hearing MANY pundits warning of runaway inflation as a result of these moves. Fast forward to now and I'm starting to hear much the same.
In your opinion, is it likely to be different this time? Will we get runaway inflation? Or will it be more like 2010-2019 with muted inflation at best?

Q: Hi,

I'm wondering if you might be able to provide me with some insight as to how you believe the Harvest Healthcare Leaders ETF appears to be able to sustain a yield of over 9%, when the vast majority of the investments it holds don't pay a dividend of anything close to that level of return and in fact in some cases pay no dividend at all?

I understand that they write covered calls on up to 33% of the portfolio but the difference between the return being paid by this ETF and the investments it holds seems too vast for those premiums to be able to make up all the difference. Am I perhaps mistaken in that belief or might this ETF being sustaining its current payout on "borrowed time"? I cannot afford any more investments like CPG or VET or any other examples of times I've reached for yield only to end up losing a massive percentage of my very hard earned money.

I currently own TransAlta Renewables (RNW) in a taxable account with a capital gain.
The current yield on RNW is 6.2% and the current yield for BEP.UN is 3.9 %.
The five year dividend growth for BEP.UN is approximately 5.5 % and the five year dividend growth for RNW is 3.0 % (with no dividend increases in the past two years).
1 - When BEP.UN spins out BEPC and BEPC starts trading, does it make sense to sell my RNW and purchase BEPC? Essentially I am trading dividend income for future capital gains and dividend growth.
2 - What date does BEPC commence trading, the BEP.UN press release July 16, gives a date of July 24 for BEPC.WI/BEPC (NYSE/TSX) and July 31 for BEPC/BEPC (NYSE/TSX)?
