Q: Could you please suggest a replacement for these mutual funds. I have been told these funds have a high MER and I should investigate other options. A switch to ETF's may be an option too.

Q: Do you know anything about this new Canadian SPAC out of BC? I understand that these are typically plays on management. Would a small speculative position (say 1-2% of a TFSA) be roulette or is there an investment case you can make based on knowledge of the plan or executive team? I understand you cannot make personal investment decisions so it is more a question about whether sufficient upside exists or if it is too speculative.

Q: Hi 5i experts,

I noticed this penny gold mine stock has very high deposit potential of 1.6M Ounce. One question though is the high institutional holding. Why there are over 50% institutional holding for this penny stock? I heard before that institutions normally only buy stocks above $5. I checked other gold mine stocks and most of the penny stocks have high insider holding but very few institution holdings. Does the high institution holding means a lot of fund managers see this stock as a good upside potential?

Q: Hello,
I am down in my TFSA by average 25% ( MX, RVX, CERV, CHEM, OVV, POW,CHR). I am up with EMA by 25%. I was thinking of selling EMA and buy some growth companies for a 5 year outlook. Is it good to get into LSPD, REAL, KXS and DCBO at this time.

Q: These two are currently my biggest loosers, down 30% and 40% respectively, unfortunately they are in my TFSA, only there because thats where I had cash available when I liked the idea of the purchase. Admittedly I havent been in CAE very long, MX has been held much longer. With current events would you sell and move on, if so a few suggestions for this account please other than Tech please, I'm way over weight there.
