Q: Good morning, I have always wanted to purchase one of the exchanges. If you had to choose one or two, which one would you favour ?
And would you make a few comments on owning them in a portfolio?

Q: What is 5i thoughts about the additions to Caldwell Partners' board of directors? This news coupled with Ewing Morris acquiring a 20% stake in CWL last year maybe a signal for change at CWL in terms of better utilizing the capital markets. Do you agree?

Q: What is 5i thoughts of Caldwell Partners' all-time record-breaking quarterly results. It seems that they have recovered nicely from a slow start to this fiscal-year. They also suggest in their outlook that fiscal Q4 could be just as strong (or stronger) than Q3 which could lead to a record-breaking year for the Company. If anything the results and outlook is great bell-weather indicator of the strength of US economy for which a large portion Caldwell's revenues are generated from.

Q: Hi Have my TFSA in these tickers. Doing very well (THANK YOU), I'm thinking I would like to park it, small growth, dividends, capital preservation comes to mind.

I am considering selling the laggards in my US rrsp account. ATVI is down -23%, BOX -29%, CELG -7%, SKWS -23% and UTX up +2%. The plan is to add to my winners. Do you have any thoughts about whether I should keep any of these? Many thanks.

Q: I have some cash set aside for an emergency fund (about 50k) currently sitting in a Tangerine account, earning only about 1%/year. Q: Kenneth asked this morning about moving AQN from the U.S. side of his RIF account back to the Canadian side, at a 2% exchange rate. Is it correct that one must pay FX fees when moving a stock between sides? I had thought that this is another facet of Norbit's Gambit that would eliminate the fees.

Q: Open Text has apparently entered into recent deals with Google and Mastercard. Are these probably already baked into the price or would you still anticipate good growth?
Regarding FSZ can you clarify the scary PE? Why is it still considered a safe income stock? Many thanks.

Q: Owner of MX and was going to write a question on it today before reading:
"While we like momentum a lot, we view SPB as more of an income security than growth, and in our view MX is too cheap on valuation to endorse this switch. "

I recall a lot of talk on BNN etc about the oil companies as prices started to come down. Valuations were cheap and nobody thought oil was going as low as it did. Is there not some risk here that methanol prices keep going lower in the way oil did which would throw the valuation argument into question? What would it take for 5i to throw in the towel here?

Q: I have a 1/2 position in ADN looking for dividends and a little growth. I have some cash to add to ADN or go to the west coast and start a position in WEF. WEF is down to its 52 week low I presume because of the strike. Time frame 3 to 5 years and moderate risk.

SPB is at a high, MX is at a low - for a momentum trade, would you endorse a switch from MX to SPB, or is that just selling low and buying high and therefore not recommended?

Q: Levi's didn't have a great quarter and the share price is taking a beating today. Do you have any comments on it's outlook going forward? Q: I have received notice that my TD.PF.B preferred shares are being reset & I have the option to convert these series 3 preferred shares to series 4 preferred shares. From my understanding of the TD.PF.B series 3 prospectus the series 3 interest rate will be fixed for the next 5 years based on the present Canadian Government 5 year bond rate plus 2.27%. While the series 4 next 5 years interest rate will be calculated every 3 months based on the Canadian Government 3 month Treasury Bill plus 2.27%. My question is, which would you choose, 1) series 3 which will have an approximate 3.8% interest rate for the next 5 years OR 2) series 4 which have the possibility of having a greater or maybe less interest rate over the next 5 years OR 3) sell the shares & purchase shares that have a better chance of future growth. I bought the preferred shares when issued at $25 per shares & am presently underwater by 10% when the 5 years of dividends received are added to today’s market prices. I do not need the dividend as income & the shares are in a registered account. Thanks … Cal
