Q: Hi guys,

Wondering your thoughts on truck based shippers like tfi and ups as compared to railways? With a 5+ year time horizon, what has a likely higher rate of return overall and success probability with the economy ahead?
Thoughts on whether to invest now at all versus waiting 1 to 3 months for more earning to sink in?

Q: I've held since its inception due to a) the track record of the former Sprott fund manager, and b) beause it was a fund that would have tools to perform well during a stock market setback. I am looking to sell as the fund did not fulfill purpose b. Am I missing something? And can I sell JFS.UN as I would my other stocks (without a penalty) in my Direct Investing account?

Q: Looking to add more exposure to companies in technology that will help drive growth of the economy not only in the near term but long term. Things like Software, AI, 5G, IOT, Self Driving Cars, etc. With HXQ ETF the pick is more the Nasdaq 100 which will contain a number of these companies. With ARKW and IGV looking at some speciality to help in the overall growth of my technology allocation. What are the thoughts on the 3 selected or do you have others you would recommend. Looking at ETF to get some broad exposure and reduce risk of picking individual stocks. Thanks as always.

Q: I currently have full positions in BEP.UN, AQN and NPI in a non-reg account. I'm thinking of selling one to buy either BCE or BIPC.

This is a portfolio move. I don't currently own BCE or T so this might be a good time to add. I actually prefer BIPC for the more global exposure. I'm retired and looking for reliable dividends with a side of growth. I think owning all three utilities may be too much (I also own ALA in my RRSP) but selling any of the three would result in a taxable event.
forgot to mention that selling any of AQN, NPI or BEP.UN would result in a taxable gain. I also intended to ask which of the three would you sell?

Do think this would be a worthwhile move? If so, which would to buy, BCE or BIPC?

Q: Is Descartes debt free? And Kinaxis? How much cash do they have.

Q: PBH appears to have been doing ok despite the COVID-19 lockdown, which means, their products are likely not being purchased and consumed. When does the sales slowdown negatively hit them, and what do you think happens to the stock price in the short term, and do you think they have the financials to weather the storm and go back to higher ground after the lockdowns end?

Q: France is starting to see food inflation. In some cases, it's quite impressive numbers percentage wise. If we do get more wide-spread inflation, due to the massive stimulus, would that be a positive for preferred share resets, which I've read go up with higher interest rates? The ETF ZPR currently pays 7% annually, which is usually a sign of future cuts, but on the other hand, it's been going up for 3 weeks. This question is for an account that is 60% in bonds and needs more income.

Q: May I have your opinion on GAMCO Natural Resources, Gold & Income, for income? It's a covered call fund yielding 12% dividend. The holdings include 45% metals and mining, 20% energy, and the rest in health, industrials, agriculture. It seems to be 55% held by insiders. How secure is it for income, in your opinion? Thank you.

Q: Ed Sonenberg Riocan chief who I think I is reasonably straight shooter said the market is discounting retail real estate too much. if this makes sense would Riocan with near 10 % yield make a reasonable buy ?

Q: I bought a position in this "cleantech" firm a few weeks ago. I know it's in the beaten up oil services sector (they've already lost some customers) but they have a ton of cash and a practical way to reduce methane and other emissions. It has proven to be super volatile and I'm down about 20% already. Did I blow it?
