Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: Long term owner of WSP, with a full position. Started buying WSP in 2014 @ $37. Long term believer that WSP will rebound from it's current price of around $220 and resume it's "up and to the right" trajectory.

Going to trim some (again) from my Cash account for a capital gain. At the same time, I plan to buy some in my TFSA. My understanding is there are no CRA issues with this plan, as it is a capital gain and NOT a capital loss situation.

Please confirm....thanks....Steve

Q: I know that you really like Shop but it has been extremely weak Today it is down close to 6% On a technical basis it is approaching a support level of around 151 give or take. Break that and we are on our way to 100. My gut says that the market does not like this stock. Perhaps we should pay heed to what the market is telling us and limit our losses while we can. Your analysis please.

Q: Can you give me 3 stocks (Canadian or US) that have been beaten up since the start of the year that you have the highest conviction on for a turnaround for the rest of the year?

Q: Hello Team 5i & Everyone,

Would you mind providing a list of 10 American software stocks that are beat down because of AI fears that you think have good potential for a real recovery at some point in the future?

IGV seems to be holding up okay for now with the S&P500 in a downtrend, I assume because it's possibly "oversold".

Thank you!

Sandra

Q: Can you provide an update for this company please? EPS increased 159% in 2025 on sales growth of 23% and for the 1st 6months of 2026 EPS up 32% and sales up 12%. These numbers suggest a turn around with large margin expansion and good momentum starting to slow. With a PE of 14 it seems the price has not increased in tandum with results. Please comment on this, future EPS and revenue growth, and the risk associated with the debt/equity of 93%. Thank you. John

Q: From the answers I have gleaned over those 3 insurers you seem to be favoring SLF over the other two, from a volatility & performance perspective (over 1 and 5 years) it would appear that SLF is worse. Can you give your reasons why as you obviously see SLF of better quality fundamentally going forward.

Q: Which would you keep in order to potentially provide a boost to a conservative blue chip RIF? Both are small holdings, 1.5% each. Also have AAPL, MSFT, TER and NVDA for the same reason.
