Q: Do you have any more info to update your last comments on Bloom energy. It seems to be garnering some internet gossip attention lately. Would it have the potential to ever be in your top 25 US stocks for growth ?(growth with moderate risk stocks)

Q: Please give your thoughts on Wynn and Delta? Are you still optimistic on their performance and growth in the next 5-10 years?
Q: ATS,BIR,CVO,DCBO,ENG,SGY.ZOOM.
Q: Could you comment on ATS earnings, please.
Q: I subscribe to your Portfolio Tracking and Analysis service and would like to suggest adding a feature to help clients such as myself who manage multiple accounts. (In my case, I manage registered and cash accounts for both myself and my husband,) It would be immensely useful to be able to track performance over time and compare it to the TSX, S&P and NASDAQ - both on an individual account basis and on a total account basis. Is this something 5i might be open to providing?
Q: I seem to recall OTEX being included in the past on your list of companies that were possible takeover targets? If that was true once, do you still see the possibility that the “assets” of the company would be desirable to someone today at it’s current valuation?

iShares Core Canadian Universe Bond Index ETF (XBB)
-
TD Target 2025 Investment Grade Bond ETF (TBCE)
-
TD Target 2026 Investment Grade Bond ETF (TBCF)
-
TD Target 2027 Investment Grade Bond ETF (TBCG)
Q: TD launched a series of Target Maturity Bond ETFs that terminate in Nov of each given year (e.g. TBCF winds up in Nov 2026)
Normally, for Fixed Income, an investor could:
- own individual bonds with exact payment/maturity certainty but very laborious
- own traditional bond ETFs: very easy, but perpetually renewing maturities and mysterious trading prices---often downward, it seems
However these new ETFs seem to offer the best of both worlds.
MER is 0.20 vs XBB 0.10 which isn’t bad.
By TD’s offering chart (May 2), TBCF shows a Yield to Maturity (net of fees) of 4.87%.
Seems like a lot to like here for the individual investor, in Fixed Income.
As a Portfolio Analytics subscriber, the Asset Allocator is unhappy with my dearth of Fixed Income holdings!

Q: What is your opinion of the Buffalo-based Rand Capital Corp.? There doesn't seem to be any mention of this firm in your database or, to be fair, in Stockchart's database, either.
Best regards,
David

Q: I've owned this stock for a good while and have made some money with Ian t. Back in July it was at $ 30.00 and now approx $ 24.00. I've heard something about the local government wanting in on the money it's making ? Any info on this and would you sell or hold ? Thanks
Q: Could I get an update on this company, which was asked about in July 2023.
Thanks

Q: Will Japanese component maker Asahi Kasei is set to announce the construction of a new battery-related plant near Niagara today likely to impact Magna negatively ?
Q: Hi, With CDN interest rates maybe coming down I'm wondering if a switch from a covered call utility ETF (ZWU) to an equal weight ETF like ZUT makes sense? ZUT though has a fairly high MER, so is there a better option, or maybe better to just buy individual stocks. Thanks.
Q: Would appreciate your analysis of CPH's Q1 results that were released last week.
Q: I am looking to start a new position in Texas Roadhouse. Any comments regarding the company?

Q: Hi Peter,
For my RRIF, I want to invest in covered calls ETFs that generate high income with some growth potential for long term hold. Given the current market with possible near term interest rate cut, please share your top four Canadian listed covered call ETFs and top four US listed, with their respective current yield. Thanks.

Q: I have below weight holdings in DHR and TMO and am looking to sell my holdings in one of these and use the proceeds to increase my holdings in the other. Which of these 2 do you prefer.

Q: Hello, what is your opinion about Five Below ?
They plan to achieve 3500 stores by 2030 (in 2023 they opened 205 and plan to open 230 in 2024) and now have 1544 stores and grow sales at around 15% per year.
Easy to understand business model
468 millions in cash and no debt
Francois Rochon of Giverny likes the company (5% of portfolio)
They talk about shrink headwinds (can you explain) and not sure about their moat since a lot of competition in the US.
But the share price has been going down 35% this year.
Thanks
