Q: Would you please provide your top four precious metal investments in relatively safe jurisdictions? I already hold PAAS, AEM, FNV and a small amount of bullion. I would like to diversify a little more in this sector.
Would you recommend waiting for a dip in price?
With appreciation,
Ed

Q: Looking for a handful of stock suggestions to invest funds in a private company that will be paid out to shareholders in equal tranches over 5 years - desired features (in order of importance) safety, low volatility (or volatility but currently at cycle lows eg CNQ), eligible dividend, dividend growth, dividend higher than current HISA rates. Thanks!

Q: Dear 5i team.

Can you shed light on why EIT appears to have similar volitility to the general market?
What are the top holdings? Does it use leverage?
Is this something that is just too volitile for a conservative investor? The wild ride with the market last few weeks has got my attention.

Many thanks for your help

Q: I'm holding PRL with a fairly big loss and I'm wondering how you would approach this situation. I'm fine to hold unless it makes sense to sell for the tax loss and buy GSY. If yes would you return to PRL after 30 days for long term? I assume they will move in a similar way.

thx, Mark

Q: I used to own a REIT called INN . A play on the Canadian tourism industry . I did quite well on it and sold it for a tidy profit when they were bought out . With our southern neighbors rapidly approaching " Most Hated Nation " status coupled with their currently well publicized Gestapo tactics at the border resulting in travel alerts in at least five countries ..... I am curious in what ways I can invest in the Canadian tourism industry ? On social media I am reading a lot of European and Aussie tourists are planning trips to Canada instead of the U.S. .... Any suggestions of an approach to investing in Canadian tourism ? I am looking for Canada " only " options . If there are no " Canada " options how about Europe ? Not interested in any company that even uses U.S. airspace..... I'm an " Elbows Up " Canucklehead .....

Of course one other concern is Trump throwing the world into recession and the travel industry suffering as a result. Could 5i comment on that thesis as well ? ..... Thanks for your terrific service .....

Q: Earlier I asked a question on momentum investing and moving averages. If I understand you correctly, although you see this as a form of market timing, you do use it as a kind of entry point confirmation. The thing I worry about this is that the company promoting this style of investing for their account, uses moving averages as a signal to get out of a stock, or stocks. You have often mentionned that the difficulty in such a situation is when to get back in. I dont think that you sell generally on the basis of technical analysis. So, I am wondering whether this is a good strategy. If I go for it, I must assume that the account manager is both braver and more knowledgeable than myself. I should say that their record looks good up till this point. At a time like this it is tempting to find a system that saves one's gains. So, would you buy and sell on a regular basis in this way
thanks for the great service

Q: Hi 5i, could you give me some good quality travel industry stocks that you believe might benefit if international travellers divert their travel from US to Canada. Could you please have them traded on Canadian exchange. Thanks

Q: Good morning 5i
Thanks very much for the resonse to an earlier question about momentum investing. I can see that it would be a useful tool. But, would take time and effort. Just to note about my brokerage, TD, they seem to have a good record. They only use high quality, large market cap, mostly US companies. So that mitigates the risk a bit, I imagine. Just wondering, you mention some sites one could use, could you mention some? Especially those that have the indicators built in. What particular moving averages would you tend to look at for someting like this?
thanks again

Q: Good morning, I am looking for an alternative to big American tech. Hopefully in Europe or perhaps Asia. When large Canadian pension plans are moving away from US investments, I think this is worth exploring. Would appreciate your thoughts.
