Q: Hi, Transcontinental Inc shares are down almost 20% within less than a week, due to an unexpected hit on earnings mostly caused by delay in Coveris contribution. From a long term perspective and with cushion of dividend yield of 3%, does it make sense and would you be comfortable to take advantage of the dip and overweight to 5-6% for income and growth. Thanks
Earlier last year, in the health maintenance sector, you had mixed views on Molina Healthcare (MOH-N) , Aetna(aet-n), Humana(hum-n).
What would be your views now on the best stocks for growth in this sector and are they any ETFs which would cover them well ?
Thousand thanks,
JD
Q: I have a clarification question. I did not find the answer you gave Mike on BFP.UN on September 6th clear. Are you saying it the stock is a buy at this price?
Q: I have been a long-term holder of Atco. Where do you see the company's prospects and would you advise switching to another name in this sector. If yes, please name.
Thanks
Q: I have 2.5% positions in TD and BNS and no other Canadian financials. I have had Sun Life on my watch list for awhile. Not sure why it is drifting lower after last quarter's results. Would now be a good time to add it, or would it be better to continue watching the negative momentum. Or maybe it would be advisable to top up BNS and TD instead? Maybe you could speculate on why SLF is declining. I am not sure how they are doing in Asia, but I imagine there is a fair bit of potential there, if they can tap into it.. Thanks, as always, for great service.
Q: Hey guys. My question is about building a great Canadian portfolio. I have done well for over 5 years now using screeners and small/micro cap stocks but this causes high commissions, volatility, and confidence issues. I have started to switch into your Balanced portfolio and stocks from your coverage list. You guys have an amazing list of stocks to choose from and an amazing balanced portfolio. Ty for that. I have been a big fan of Peter for many many years now and would like to know some tips or core rules he uses to find good stocks. Also a tip on how to adjust the industry weights in the portfolio. I know a book can be written on this subject and I have read William O'Neil's book and Graham's books but I find their strategies are to volatile or lag the Canadian market.
Thank you so much!
Q: Can you please give me analysis on this company including forward PE, price targets. It does tend to be volatile but it seems very cheap. Is there a lack of growth projected? What can positive or negatively affect this company longer term. Thanks.
Q: Hi team,
Apart from the interest rate changes affecting Power companies like AQN and FTS, do you consider them good conservative long-term holds considering their potential business losses from emerging tech like solar? More homes and businesses in our neighbourhood have solar panels as the tech becomes cheaper to acquire and install.
Q: Hello Peter and team,
I look after a TFSA for a 25 year old, which currently has about $12,000, divided evenly among 4 stocks: PHO, GOOG, COV, and KWH-UN.
It also has ~$3000 cash to deploy. I am planning to buy CSU on the recent dip, but before I do, I wanted to check whether you would support this move, or perhaps have another suggestion, since the account is already quite tech-heavy. I don't mind being overweight in tech, esp. given the long investment time horizon. Any suggestion either for or against, and any other stocks you would suggest instead of CSU?
Thanks again for your excellent service!
Q: Hi guys
Quick question about sog. I have owned this for a while and have seen it go down like the Titanic. They are looking to sell the assets, usually mean a spike in the price, but in this case they just took on more water. One of the reasons I bought into this is because the large buying by the insiders, what in your opinion is the value for this company,
Thanks and have a nice week-end

Q: I have owned these names for a few years. I did ok with them and was planning to add simply because I have some liquidity to invest. Do you expect decent return going forward (5 years time horizon), they have been going sideways in the last year or so. Do you consider these names as ''high quality'' ?
Q: What do you think about ECO as a small cap investment opportunity? Growth looks good to me and their cash balance is almost half the market cap. I'm sure there are more things to consider though.
