Q: I don't often get timing right and mostly I get it right when I am not trying to. I sold AC (for a profit) mostly because I found other things that I could hold longer. AC may or may not sell off more but if I were to re-buy inside the 30 day window will that reduce my capital gains tax by averaging?
Q: with goeasys announced deal today which is accretive immediately when it closes in the 2nd quarter, upsizing of its fund raise, announcement of 1st quarter prelim results which were strong,, plus huge increase in gsy size i thought the stock would open about 135, instead its down a buck as of this writing which is nothing in the grand scheme of things, just curious as to why-is it because of stock dilution.dave

Q: Hi 5i team,
I have XBC in my TFSA with a 50% loss. As you mentioned before, it probably will take about a year for the company to prove itself. There won’t be much upside for this stock in the near future. In order to put the money to better use, I’m going to sell XBC now and use the proceeds to purchase another company hopefully at the cusp of positive move. I’m thinking of ATA / EGLX / MCR from the Growth Portfolio. I’m looking for high revenue growth and strong cash flow. Which of these do you think have the most upside potential in the next 12 months and why or would you suggest another name? Thanks.

Q: Quidel has seen a sharp decline, more than 50 per cent off its highs and is in a high growth sector . Can you explain the fall from grace? At less than 7x earning, over 20% roi, and some insider buying is this a good investment at this time. Thanks for your analysis.

Q: Could you comment on the acquisition of Nuance by Microsoft?
Q: Hi 5i Team - Could you provide an update on the fundamentals of GSY and your opinion as a buy at today's price. Also having checked the INK Insider Report there seems to have been a lot of selling. Could you comment on this as well as total insider holdings. I know that GSY is in the business of lending money but does it also have debt and if so then is it a manageable amount.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Q: Hi,
Please explain a scenario where an investor participates in a PP where warrants are attached to the shares. In most cases there is a 4 month hold on the shares. I follow a blog site where it seems the blogger gets in on the PP and aggressively promotes the stock on various media. Once the 4 month hold period expires, he seeks his shares at a profit or small loss. Does he retain the rights to the warrants? If so, this seems to be a risk free investment as long as he recoups his initial investment. Doesn’t seem fair unless you are an accredited investor and can take advantage of these offerings.

Q: I own a fully position in IWN - with what's been going on lately with sector rotation (Growth verses value) should i see half the position and buy IWO (growth) or sell the entire position in IWN and buy IWM (both growth and value) ?
Second question I own significant holdings in WEF (overweight) WFG (1/2 position) and lastly Canfor (Full Position) My question is is it time to exit hold or reduce as lumber prices cannot stay at the present level forever?? (your comment please) maybe even sell some WEF some and go with a big house builder or even Lowes (I already own Home depot ) your guidance is appreciated

Q: I entered this position in September 2020 and am currently up about 11% and am concerned about the ability to maintain value in the event of "flight to quality" or market correction given high valuations in the U.S. market today. I recently retired and so capital preservation with some growth opportunity in order to keep up with inflation is important (can be somewhat conflicting goals due to risks of growth stocks). Given the current market would you be comfortable continuing to hold this or would you take profit now and reinvest it into something else? If reinvesting what would you recommend given the stated goals?
Q: Lots of chatter about them getting listed on the Nasdaq. Do you know why it's taking so long and do you anticipate high investor interest?
Q: I am looking to increase my health exposure. I am looking at TDOC, DOC or VEEV and already have a full position in WELL. Do you prefer one over the other, all 3 or do you have another recommendation in this space?
