Q: I just got rid of HCG from my TFSA after watching it go down 20, 30, 40, finally almost 50% from when i bought it. MDA, also in my TFSA, seems to be embarking on the same course. Is there hope for it, or should I bite the bullet and abandon it as well?
Q: Please give me your thoughts on this company
Q: Are there any convertible debentures that you would consider purchasing currently?
Q: Hi,
I see on your coverage summary that you have CCL listed as basic materials, however TSX lists it as consumer cyclical. Can you confirm which category it falls into? Could it be somewhat industrial as well?
Thanks!

Q: Good morning,
I would like to invest in a Mortgage Investment Corporation (MIC)for my TFSA or RESP but do not know whether it would be preferable to invest in a publicly traded MIC such as Atrium Mortgage Investment Corp(AI), Timbercreek(TMC), TREZ (TZZ) or in a non publicly traded MIC such as Magenta, etc where the $$$ are pooled invested in different types of mortgages and where the interest collected is 100% distributed as interest to the investors after management fee? Thank you

Q: I sometimes like to be a bottom feeder, the above list of companies are all from the growth portfolio and are under water. Do you still have conviction on any of these names for a recovery? Could you please rank the strongest.
Q: I am intending to use DLR & DLR.U for Norbert's Gambit to acquire USD in my account in order to fund the purchase of US equities & avoid the currency exchange fees, which even at Questrade are about 2%. With the anticipated increase in US interest rates in 2017 the USD is expected to increase in relation to the CDN$ so I am considering acquiring a larger amount of USD now which I could use later for either US or CDN equity purchases. Aside from the risk associated with the uncertainty of the relative value of the USD vs CDN$, do you see any negatives with this strategy?
Q: What are your thoughts on NOA and their latest quarter? The CEO has focused on higher margin business and also diversifying their customer base so they are less reliant on the oil sands sector. Company continues to buy back stock as they have strengthened their balance sheet.
Q: My RIF contains FTS, AQN, EIF, KXS, ENGH, IPL as well as XLF, VWO, & KRE US ETFs. I have held ENGH since 2012 & IPL since 2009 for a large CG of nearly $400K. With the somewhat flattening of these 2 over the past 2yrs. I was thinking of selling at least 50% of each. I have somewhat resisted this move over the past year simply based on overall excellent results as well as the high quality of each company. However, it may or may not be time to lighten up & add some new diversity. If you agree with this change, I would have approx. $200K to invest in at least 6 new equities & would appreciate your recommendations. Thank you.
Q: I would like your thoughts on the latest quarter?
Thank you!

Q: What did you think of Western's q4 and the company in general? It seems they made paying down debt and holding off on further capex a priority in ahead of the soft wood lumber dispute outcome.
Q: I have two major losers in my portfolio, BBBY and HSNI. Both seem good on paper but never seem to go anywhere. Would you hang on or sell and move on?
