Q: Hi there, what would be the best way to play bitcoin if one wanted to purchase either an Etf or individual company? Thanks!
Q: I am looking at your : "Stocks that Pay Monthly Dividends" spreadsheet have a few questions. First, looking at CHP.un just as an example, debt to equity is 205.5%. Seems high to me but do you feel this is OK? What other metric would you consider if it is OK to you?
Second, their payout ratio is -52.9%. I understand that a payout ratio of more than 100% means part of your monthly dividend cheque is a return of equity (to be avoided as, theoretically, your equity position is diminished with each cheque) but what does it mean when the ratio is in a negative position?
Third, some listings, BPF.un for example list no payout ratio. Why is that?
Thank you, by the way, for this list. Fascinating.

Q: Hey,
I’m down 20% on Photon right now, it makes up just over 2% of the account it’s in and around .5% of total portfolio. I held through it’s great run up last then watched it fall lower than I started. Are you confident enough in another future run to look at the price now as a good chance to average down? Or is it too speculative and I should just hold now and be patient.
Thanks

Q: REITs, utilities, and other dividend and low volatility assets are being hammered today. Any idea why? Is the market suddenly starting to think rates will be increased? You don't often see ZLU down 2% in a day.
Q: I see PH&N high yield bond fund series D opens for new investors on Thursday. Your thoughts please
Thank you

Q: The CEO/founder has applied to put all of his 52% ownership of the company up for sale. I understand insiders selling a part of their shares, but I've never come across selling all of them. My first thought is some company disaster, but I imagine, in that scenario, an insider would feed them slowly into the market to avoid suspicion. Your opinion please.
Q: Most of REITs are down sharply today, any particular reasons for that? Under current disinflationary backdrop, I think defensive sectors should be outperforming, so except REITs, any other recommendation to buy/hold for now? Thanks!
Q: Gentlemen Good Morning.
I would like to switch my energy (stocks & ETF) to Clean Renewable energy. Except BEP.un.
Please suggest stocks, ETF, Can, US, or int'l for more than 5 years, income not necessary.
Thanks Regards

Q: I've seen SWY fall from significant heights to $.02 per share and the market depth in and around the $.02 is noteworthy. I'd like to know if you would support buying a position in this stock at this time, or what "event" in the future would you consider buying in. Thanks
Q: Hi there,
Given the general long term trend of better managing our waste, i have been looking at this company to add to my us portfolio. I already own Waste Management which has been a very steady eddy over several years but understand it can be economically sensitive. What do you think of CVA and does it have the same economically sensitivity.
Thanks

Q: Just a comment. When I search questions on HUT (HUT8 the bitcoin minor). The horizons etf comes up instead. I think you might need to differentiate the symbols on these two.

Q: Hello,
A recent answer mentioned no-fee GIC's. I'm puzzled. We have several GIC's and with various companies. The yearly statements we now get from our advisor (statements that are supposed to be more transparent about fees) says every one pays a fee to our advisor. The GIC rates are net of these fees of course but, in my opinion, these are fees and all are pretty big percentages when compared against the net GIC pay-out. Your thoughts? Thanks.

Q: Hi 5i team, thanks for your information on beating estimates or not . I just want to see how volatile the short term price action is as it can move up or down in the 10, 15% range. How do you define profit taking as stock price drop ? Is there a maximum % drop before it is not profit taking ? Thanks.
Q: A lot of reits got wacked today such as Nvu.un -any particular reason given is close to divident date.?
Q: Hi team. NVDA had a nice jump today (26th). Any news? Would you expect more of the same in the near future? I'm thinking of adding.
Cheers for now.
Cheers for now.
Q: Good day all,
I have a position in TRZ.
The latest offer is 14.00 from Mach group but the stock is trading around 14.20 today due to expectation of another offer to come in. Rumor has it between 17 and 20.
I would love to hear your feedback as to what would be the best course of actions here.
Thank you,
Nick

BMO Equal Weight US Banks Index ETF (ZBK)
Q: I currently owned both CM , TD and ZBK in a non rrsp account. I would like to sell CM. My total % holding in ZBK and TD are quite low . If I buy ZBK I still maintain the financial allocation but increase my US holding. I know I would lose the dividend that CM pay as ZBK is quite low, or would it be better to buy more TD and increase the weight of this stock.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: High dividend stocks are getting hit today with exception of a couple of pipelines. Has something happened that the market now expects interest rates to move up?? Otherwise why are all these stocks being hit at the same time?
