Q: It seems that every day the new from south of the border gets crazier. Today (Friday) the markets reacted very negatively. Let's assume the news continues to get crazier. What do you think the markets will do. Is most of the insanity already priced in? Just how bad do you think it can get?

Q: Please rank these stock for risk relative to US Tariffs from High to Low.....yes, wonder how defensive these CDN stocks are......Many thanks.....Tom
Q: Would you be comfortable adding to a position at these levels?
Q: Looking to expand my international holdings. What are your thoughts of MercadoLibre after strong earnings?
Q: Regarding Tom's question on Feb 21, regarding rating companies for tariff risk high to low, you rated GIB.A as the second highest risk of Tom's list of companies. As this company is near the top of my watch list to buy, would you expand on this company's risk exposure to tariffs.
Q: What is purpose of the March 6 meeting.
Q: Hello,
One of your members was inquiring re: books about managing your investments in retirement.
Daryl Diamond's "Your Retirement Income Blueprint" is an excellent resource. Lots of insights in terms of how to structure your income while your portfolio continues to grow and the most important topic of minimizing taxes during decumulation. However, it is less about "investing" and more about how to manage and structure your retirement income/savings - so you have money to live on while the rest continues to grow, and in the most tax effective way.

Q: Hi - you have often commented that you see BN as a better growth stock than BAM, and yet BN doesn't seem to be yielding a lot more growth.... How long do you think until it truly overshadows BAM?
Q: I noticed that Warren Buffet has sold his positions in VOO and SPY . Given that he may have just been using them for a holding pattern, that did not bother me too much. But, now I see that he is investing in Japan. This makes you think that he might have found something worth investing in. Do you think that may be the case in a strong way and that it may be profitable to follow his lead? If so, would the above mentioned value etf be the right choice or might there be something better? I don’t want to own the individual stocks.
Thanks as always
Thanks as always
Q: Is this a B/S/H for a long term hold for cap appreciation?
Q: Looking at the insider trading of Enbridge Directors, I noted that the number of shares held by the Directors in May 2024 was over 900,000. The corresponding number of shares held by Directors on February 20, 2025 dropped to about 210,000.
Can you please comment with respect to inside trading at this company ? Is the drop in the number of shares held by the directors an issue ?
Thanks

Q: A suggestion in response to Ahmed's Feb 20th question about resources on how to manage a portfolio approaching / during retirement: "Secure Retirement" by Jacques Lussier. A bit academic but I hope you find the concepts useful.

Q: I would like to create a portfolio (10 years and more) for a non-profit organization. The return objective is 5% or more. The amount to be invested is $40,000. Is it possible to achieve this objective with ETFs? Which ETFs should I buy for this account?
Or should I pick a few names from your Balance Equity portfolio?
THANKS

Q: Do you have data on their current sector allocations? I have tried text searching and reviewing the Q&As for the past many months but cannot find anything. I also have positions in BEP, BIP and BIPC but I believe they are more narrowly focused on their sectors from what I read.
Q: Was hoping to get an update on your conviction for Equinix. The company said its backlog of cabinets sold but not yet installed, doubled in 2024 compared to the prior year. They also said roughly 87% of projects under construction have been leased or pre-leased. I see they have quite a few xScale data centers coming online this year. And the company said that cabinets billed should climb in 2025. That all sounds promising! But there is a LOT of competition out there, the big spending is impacting profitability, and I think they are still working with the SEC and DOJ to resolve the short seller allegations from last year. Would you continue to hold? Are there some better alternatives in the space? Thank you.
Q: Have you heard of microcap nurs.v ? If so what do you think about their growth plans?
Q: Hi 5i Team,
May I please have your comments on this company given the negative news relating to it that occurred a few months ago. Would it be a hold, buy or sell now? If it is a "sell", please recommend a company or companies to take its place.
Cheers,
H
