Q: It appears that this is a trading market as I FIND VERY DIFFICULT to hold for long term when market goes down at a very high speed than when it goes up.How do we convince our self to hold some stocks like SIS,mx and it keeps going down? Do you think I need to read some books to educate myself or do you agree with me,May be buy and hold was right thing to do but not in this time when president's tweet makes the market,Lot of things changed with time may be its time to change buy &hold for long term,If I had no 5i advice I would have lost a lot,I do appreciate your opinion a LOT

Q: PIF has taken it on the chin in the last coupld of days. The only news I see is the final cancellation of the proposed Nicaraguan canal project. Do you see other news that relates to the company? Is the cancellation of the Nicaraguan canal actually germaine to the situtation for PIF or is this just a case of long-distance investors getting jittery on any local bad news? Thaqnk-you.

Q: I bought MFI for a variety of shorter term and medium term reasons including African swine flu in China and Asia affecting the price of pork and their aggressive move into plant protein seemingly still at an opportune time overall. The recent earnings seem to confirm not only this, but very good news overall for an otherwise steady eddy type business. Long intro I know, but how do you see earnings and the outlook overall for a longer term hold? Thank-you.

Q: Time to rebalance my portfolio. BCE has increased to almost 7% of my portfolio (4% in RRSP and 3% in Investment accounts). Is this too overweight and should I trim back? Which account, or both, and by how much? Can you suggest another communications/telecom stock to redeploy the funds? I also own Verizon at about a 1% of portfolio holding.

I am primarily a conservative investor, a few years from retirement, with a tilt to growing dividends.

Many thanks!
