Q: Dear Peter et al:

It seems that my earlier question on NBIS was "swallowed' by cyberspace! So, I am posting it again taking your answers to Claus/Gilles on July 24th into consideration.

It popped up to 57+ and then promptly/very quickly dropped down to 50s. What was all that about? It's earnings are going to be released next week? I see on my iTrade analysts recommendations is a SELL! (Research Team and CFRA) But on other sites it is a BUY! (Interactive Brokers).

What is your take on it's earnings? I know you would say that it is a BUY but for aggressive investors and be mindful of position size! (We get to read your answers between the lines!! You don't like price targets. But let me ask for your price target anyway!!

Worth selling some cash secured puts? Any suggestions for Strike price/Exp date for puts?

I have a small position and am in a loss position.(not huge but a loss nevertheless)

Q: My daughter's portfolio consists of the above stocks (CSU, ENB ,IFC, ISRG, SIS, SHOP, WSP, ZSP). She likes to hold good stocks for along time. She Is comfortable with moderate risk and has a long runway for investment. She has money to invest and would like to add stocks which would improve the balance of her portfolio. The earnings season is about to begin! VRT on 23/07 and NBIS on 31/07. I know you don't like to buy something purely based on one quarter's earnings. But if one needs to add to an existing VRT position, is it prudent to wait or add now? I have no position in NBIS. Should one buy now or wait till the earnings or out? The main reason I am asking is NOT to time the market but to avoid that free fall that sometimes these earnings bring on! Seem to be more unpredictable nowadays than ever before!

Q: With the run of NVDA over the last few year I now have a HUGE position in the stock and need to trim it.
Can you suggest 5 Canadian or US companies that could be the next NVDA in the next 5+ years and their growth and risk as well as any other details you may have on the companies.

Q: CSU has grown too large a position in my portfolio, and I am very reluctantly (sadly even) forcing myself to sell a portion.

Along with some additional free capital, I am considering adding four new positions.

I am indifferent to industry, size or region. This is all about growth.

I am willing to hold for many years, but I want companies that are proven winners and very well-positioned to grow aggressively in the long term. Ideally, companies that are standouts in their industry.

How would you rank the above positions in terms of risk (1-10), short-term growth (1-10) and long-term growth (1-10)?

If you have additional suggestions not on my list that may be more suitable, please include them in your analysis.

Q: This is a hard stock to stomach. Do the wild swings in price have to do with the fact that it is not heavily traded? What size of a position would you recommend that an aggressive investor hold in a portfolio? My thinking with this name is that you either have to trade it or hold it and forget it. I am inclined to go with the latter option, subject to your comments about valuation. I note that the short float has increased recently which always makes me nervous. Thank you, Jason

Q: Are there US stocks that fall under the buying opportunity for 3-5 years compared to a Long term hold ( > 5 years ). Or vice versa.

Can you please suggest 5 for each? Do you prefer US or CND equities these days, and why?
