Q: Hello Team,

In one answer you stated NBIS is very high risk and in another you stated that half the market cap is in cash. If half the market cap is in cash doesn’t that make it far less risky? Can you please provide a current valuation, your thoughts on the investment thesis and what price it would be a table pounding buy?

Q: Another day, another short report on Applovin. All the reports say something to the effect that Applovin tracks users in a way that the major platforms Apple and Google forbid. The worry is a deplatforming at some point. What do you make of this?

Q: Do you think the “invest in the European market” theme might catch on with and support NBIS going forward? Being based in Amsterdam and emerging as of the larger European AI data center providers outside of GCP, AWS, and Azure I see this as a potentially significant tailwind if they can deliver. I’ve also been seeing more direct marketing from Nebius on my Reddit feed which I see as a positive that their sales teams are ramping up. Curious about your perspective on this.

Q: How exposed are csu, Toi and lmn to Tarriffs? Or is it to their advantage and they will pick companies at good discounts? Thanks.

Q: Good evening,

I am wondering if you have any possible suggestions regarding companies that focus predominately in the application layer or operate full-stack models of AI.

The reason why I am asking this is because of an article entitled: "AI's revolution is just beginning" in Sunday's Globe and Mail. Sadly, there are a few parts that I don't fully comprehend which unfortunately prevents me from investigating more fully. A starting point would be great!

Take a peek to the article as it draws parallels to the dot com/internet crash of the 2000s.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated so I may begin to investigate.

Conversely, state any points you think should be taken with a grain of salt!

Thanks!

Q: Sorry for the long list, but that's my IT holdings and I need help to get to a more disciplined IT portfolio. About equal weight, except for SHOP which was owned and is currently on watchlist. Question 1- please advise a limited high conviction IT - does 5 sound about right? It would really help me if you could explain why these are chosen as I want to understand my investments. Question 2 - which ones to sell outright so that can redeploy funds? Any to hold for potential high growth potential?

Q: Couple of questions on LSPD

1) What portfolio was it in and when was it removed?

2) With the recent announcement of a weakening outlet today on Bloomberg, at this point is it too late to unload, or would you take your losses and run for the hills?

3) If yes, where would you put the funds?

Thanks

Q: The CEO of Telesat was interviewed on CBC radio this morning, and he discussed the Lightspeed project in detail. Previously to him, a consultant in the rural Kawartha Lakes area of Ontario described his move away from Starlink. His aversion to Elon Musk propelled him to cancel Starlink even though his replacement through Rogers isn't as good as Starlink was. I suspect this consultant isn't the only one who is disgusted with Musk, (The Ontario government's response is an excellent example.)

Now for my question: Given the toxic nature of Musk, and the need for a truly Canadian option to Starlink, would now be a good time to start to accumulate shares in TSAT? In our case, this would increase our exposure in the Telecom sector, and get in on the ground floor of what sounds like an exciting project.

Thanks as always for your insight.

Q: I realize that you are not much of a fan of DCBO these days given your preference for DTOL and that you removed it from your growth profile. But I'm wondering if this company might be looked at as a potential takeover candidate. Three points to consider:

1. There have been recent articles indicating that the next 18 months could see a real pickup in M&A activity within the Canadian software sector;

2. Following recent earnings, analysts revised their targets for DCBO downwards. Notwithstanding this, the average target is still $72.17, almost 70% higher than our current share price; and

3. Most significantly, two weeks ago, Warburg Pincus LLC anted up over $5.4M to purchase 118K shares (@$45.49) and they now own 12% of the company.

As always, would appreciate your viewpoint.

Q: These really fell out of favour fast. Would you hold? I am inclined to hold and hope for better days unless it would be better to cut losses and get into something that is also down but might have more promise on the upside? Maybe I’m being too emotional and impatient - I am okay to wait it out unless there is some reason to walk.

Thanks,

Jason
