Q: I recently sold my Spartan shares for $6.77 - as of yesterday the price was down to $6.51 and I am looking at repurchasing.
in your opinion, should I purchase Vermilion or stay with Spartan (is there an advantage to be found here)?
It is my understanding that owners of Spartan receive .15 of a Vermilion share if the deal goes through!

Q: Hello Peter et al.

What is your viewpoint on SDX Energy at the moment? I have noticed that Josef Schachter has been on BNN lots of times promoting this stock. I see the benefit of it as well but I don’t agree with his prognosis of gas stocks in Canada being way undervalued and a good investment opportunity. His past picking history does not bode well in my opinion and because he likes SDX so much it concerns me. The company has no debt, lots of cash. Every well is a discovery in the last 6 morning months to a year. They are getting great prices for their gas in Morocco and Egypt. What is not to like!!! Am I missing something here?

Regards,

Brendan

Q: Could you talk a little about the company’s move into oil, I thought it is a pure gas play? I bought it on a gas turn around in the next couple of years but this recent Montey discovery is a big surprise.
Thanks

Q: I was interested in purchasing Athabasca Oil, given Eric Nuttall's recent comments on BNN that while the company's debt load is presently high, it should be "debt free in 3 or 4 months."

5 I, on the other hand, makes no mention of reduction of debt in Athabasca's future, in a recent comment and suggests further it is not a top choice.

Would you be able to elaborate on this please?
(5 I is my go-to for checks and balances, and I hardly do anything on the market now, without your opinion!)

If not Athabasca, what would be a good "growthier" name in the Energy/Oil space that you could recommend, with good conscience, at this time.

Thank you.

Q: Do you think this current oil rally is sustainable,I believe seasonally we are coming into a weak time of the year.Do you think because of all the projects around the world that have either been deferred, cancelled or scaled back,do you know of any numbers that would support the fact that the surplus could become a possible shortage due to lack of new barrels coming online and what we be your top oil pick be for growth and dividend regardless of cap size thanks for your great professional service

Q: Hi there,

I've been out of oil for a few years now. In your opinion is now the time to get back in? Is there legs behind the recent rally? I was looking at Yangarra and Parex - do you prefer one over the other? Or another name entirely?

Thank you!
