Q: Would you be comfortable adding today despite the current noise related to the energy sector? Would you have a recommendation on price for entry? Noticed weighting on this in your GRO portfolio is at 6.17%.
Thanks,
Dave

Q: Hi Guys,
you answered a question of mine the other day asking for suggestions for smaller cap O&G companies that might have greater upside potential than the larger mid and large cap producers.
you came back as follows:
HME, SGY, KEL, BTE, ATH in that order. Would that be your order of preference?
If not, could you rank.
Merci,
Ralph

Q: Good morning and thank you for your amazing insights these days .
Question regarding CNQ and BN. Two completely different sectors, but given the appreciation in CNQ in recent weeks, and the corresponding pressure in BN, I have been slowly taking some CNQ off and moving more into BN. Both are core holdings for me, but your conviction with BN is impressive and I just think it is foolish to not take small gains off the table and move more to BN on the view that this too shall pass - for both companies.
Crazy or a fair approach so long as measured?

Q: Hello Wonder Team at 5i. Could I ask your thoughts on Tenaz Energy, they seem to have gone straight up into earnings coinciding w Iran conflict. How did the earnings report look, would you be comfortable owning it here (around $55). What would be a reasonable price? Am I correct in assuming price is correlated to European Natural Gas Benchmark TTF prices? And a final "long shot" question - if the Ras Laffan Nat Gas facility in Qatar continues to suspend operations, will this bode well for the share price of Tenaz? Thank you for your thoughts and impressions on where the share price might be going next. Much appreciated. Gord
Q: Would 5I be comfortable buying oil stock at the present time.
Thanks in advance
Rick

Q: Hello 5i,
In light of current status with oil and gas markets and what now most likely will be prolonged high prices, could you suggest two or three junior or mid cap O&G producers that might currently have greater upside opportunity than the larger producers.
Thank you so much for so many years of very sage advise.
Ralph

Q: Hi,
Can you clear up a little confusion regarding the latest earnings report from Cardinal Energy? I scanned the 4th quarter earnings report and it indicates, at least to me that it indicates a diluted share loss of 18c. Yet on my TD investor site it shows a profit of 13c per share.
Am i seeing this right, and would you also be able to give your analysis of their earnings report?
Thanks so much.

Q: Hi 5i
Currently hold small position and would like to know 5i's outlook for strathcona and would you be interested in increasing position size at current pricing..
How would you assess the risk for this one going forward? 1- 2 year outlook...
Is this simply too risky now?
thx

Q: So Trump is bombing Iran because of nuclear capabilities. With AI needing all the energy it can get why such a sell off in the stocks.Time to steep in?
Q: do you think the energy stocks have taken off a little to much. have a 6% weighing on cnq and just wondering if it would not hurt to trim a bit and possibly buy back later or do you think this is getting to cute to do and would just leave alone
Q: Hi Folks,
I am looking at adding one of WCP or CNQ to my RRSP and TFSA accounts. May I have your opinion as to which one you would recommend for each account.

Q: Is there an ETF where you can short crude oil on a longer term basis? What would likely happen if you purchased this ETF if the price of crude hit $105 and you held it for a few months and theoretically the crude price dropped to $80. Would this ETF work for a longer period of time or is it only meant for short term fluctuations? Do you have any other ideas for this type of trade without using futures?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Hi 5i,
I can't tell if Tou missed numbers or not on their earnings (top and bottom lines)? Also, assuming my numbers are accurate, the annual payout for tourmailne seems to be in a downward trend:
year Annual payout
2021 1.42
2022 7.90
2023 6.55
2024 3.32
2025 3.30
while the base rate has increased, the special dividends have only gone down since 2022.
Has their financial picture increased since 2022?
Tia!
