Q: The stock price continues to slide. For a holding in an Non-Registered Account used for dividend income, in your opinion, is GS facing too strong a headwind and secondly, might it be a candidate for "Tax Loss" selling?
Q: I've noticed that SHOP has consistently made lower lows and lower highs over the last 6 months. It's a high flier and I don't completely understand the company but do have it as a holding.
Is the revenue growth slowing? Is there any reason to be concerned?
Completely different stock but BNS has been consistently making lower lows and lower highs for the last year. Looking deeper at the chart, I see that the stock did nothing for 5 years from 2011 to 2016 (admittedly, comparing a peak to a trough) Canadian Banks have generally become accepted as a 'no brainer' investment based on the monopoly and returns over the last 30 years. Most industries seem to get disrupted over time, is it reasonable to expect Canadian Banks to have the same growth over the next 10/15/20 years?
Thanks!

Q: What do you make of the CEO leaving? Is the sharp drop in the share price just about the small cut in the dividend, interest rate worries, or maybe some bad news related to the sudden CEO departure.
Thanks

Q: Good morning,
I'm considering adding a small position of BXMT in my Non Reg US portfolio to generate some additional US $ income. With a 7% yield, how safe is this distribution and would you recommend any other name in its place to achieve my objective? Also, your thoughts on TF in my RSSP account would be appreciated. Thank you
Franco

Q: In a question on GS you referred to a decline of 2.3% in assets. Could you explain what those assets are { I'm guessing customers } the reason attributed to the decline and how GS is planning to address the issue ? My impression is that GS is a wealth management firm and I would like to know why customers have left them and how they plan on getting them back or any other plans they may have to increase business......
Thanks
Garth

Q: Thoughts on GS after this mornings 10% selloff? Good opportunity to add to existing position? Looking for income but don't want to see my principle dribble away over time.
Q: Why all the selling this morning and is this still a keeper
Q: Can I have your analysis of the short report- it seems to raise some
concerns re regulation and loan loss recognition.

Q: A lot of bleeding. Should I keep or sell ? Thanks
Q: Is Sun Life tied in with the recent hurricane in Florida/Alabama? Most stocks improved today, SLF did not.
thanks, Paul

Q: I am mostly (90%) invested in US markets . (Had desperately wanted to allocate 30% to Canadian , but have done horribly on every Canadian stock I bought ( ENB, GUD, ALA) .Therefore , for next couple of months I have gone back to buying US , when markets dip. To take advantage of the dips , I keep cash reserve. That reserve was reduced somewhat as stocks fainted last week. This is a what-if question about raising cash for next big dip.
Question: I hold both PRu.us and MET.us. Which one (IF ANY) would you sell to add to cash reserve (there being no urgent need). Between PRU and MET if you like one a lot less than the other, your reasoning would be most helpful.

Q: Based on current prices which co. is a better buy POW or PWF and please explain why.
Q: Sunlife has fallen off a cliff recently, at least on a 1 year chart. Any indication why? This has been a core holding for me but this move has me concerned.
Q: BNS is down about 14% over the past year. Average revenue growth rate over the past 3 years is 3%. Net Income average growth over 3 years is about 1%. The share price is about the same as it was 4 years ago. Yet BNS remains your favorite Canadian bank. Why is that?
Q: The share price of LB has pulled back considerably in the past months from a high of 58...is this a buying opportunity or is the dividend suspect
Q: Thinking of selling my PWF for tax loss reasons and replacing with a similar co. POW. will CRA allow ?
