Q: Could I get your thoughts on this fund. It seems to be well diversified but it's share price seems to be very stagnant. What fundamental should I be watching for that would move the share price?

Q: with the forecasted reduction in interest rates in Canada which companies would stand to benefit most I am thinking Enbridge?
Q: IPL closed $1 up (almost 5%) Wednesday, 3 July on higher than normal volume. This seems rather sudden and I haven't seen/heard any news. Would you be able to posit an explanation? Thanks, as always. Michael
Q: Hi, I’am down 5.90% on INE and was thinking of switching to ACI for better growth. I would lose $2000 on the trade, so would like your opinion for a 3+ year hold of ACI. Do you think It would be worth while or too close to call, and may just be spinning my wheels.
Thanks
Thanks

Q: Hello 5i Team
I am reviewing alternative high yield C$ investments for my RRSP for a small portion of my fixed income (< 5% of total portfolio ).
Looking at the publicly traded mortgage investment corporations (MIC) on the TSX - of the four listed, which would be your preferred choice and/or ranked in order.
Are there any other MIC listed on the TSX?
Could you also confirm that "dividends" for MICs are considered as "interest" if held in a non-taxable account.
Thanks in advance for the great service.

Q: What do you think about this company as a long term income stock. Thank you, Hans
Q: Can you update your outlook for GEI? There haven't been questions on it for a few months. Anything changed in your opinion? Would you hold or sell? Thanks!
Q: I have held both of these stocks for over 5 years. A&W has done well , but not Boston Pizza, I'm about 15% down of the purchase price of BPF. Do enjoy the high dividend of BPF. Both are held in a RRSP account. They are 2.25% and 1.40% of the portfolio. Trying to decide if I should sell Boston Pizza and add to A&W. or move to another stock for growth. I like to buy and hold. Any thoughts would be helpful
Q: I own both TRP long time and Enb a year. I was thinking of selling one. Which one would u keep. I also own small position in KEY. I am up on TRP and almost even on ENB
Q: When is the acquisition of Valener expected to close?
Q: Even if ENB's scale of operations and growth profile make Michigan's lawsuit a small bump on the road, I would have expected the announcement to have had some impact on the share price - and it did: the price went up. What is the market's reasoning, here?
Q: Can I get your thoughts on RNW?
Thanks,
Alex
Thanks,
Alex
Q: How does LFE and other "split" financial stocks pay such large dividends and are they sustainable? Thanks
Q: Hello Team,

Stephen

Q: Hi, I switched from BCE to Telus about 18 months ago for growth and dividend, but I see BCE is out performing on growth and has higher dividend.
Are my numbers correct ? And would you add to Telus within limits, as it may be undervalued?
Thanks

Thank you
Thank you
Q: Peter,
Is the rate reset spread on preferreds only good until the reset date? If so, do companies tend to renew at a similar spread or can it vary greatly?
Thank you
Paul

Q: I am retired and rely on my dividends to supplement my pension. I own full positions in TRP, PPL and ENB. I am starting to get worried about ENB with all the talk of lawsuits, Line 5 and Michigan. I am considering selling ENB and either adding to my PPL and TRP positions or buying IPL to replace ENB. Your thoughts ?
Ken

Boston Pizza Royalties Income Fund (BPF.UN $21.29)

Choice Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (CHP.UN $14.43)
Q: I am looking at your : "Stocks that Pay Monthly Dividends" spreadsheet have a few questions. First, looking at CHP.un just as an example, debt to equity is 205.5%. Seems high to me but do you feel this is OK? What other metric would you consider if it is OK to you?
Second, their payout ratio is -52.9%. I understand that a payout ratio of more than 100% means part of your monthly dividend cheque is a return of equity (to be avoided as, theoretically, your equity position is diminished with each cheque) but what does it mean when the ratio is in a negative position?
Third, some listings, BPF.un for example list no payout ratio. Why is that?
Thank you, by the way, for this list. Fascinating.
