Q: Would you please comment on the impact to the company regarding the press release this morning... FLYHT Signs USD $2.1 Million Sales Contract with Azur Aviation. Thank you
Q: I have owned MCAN in my RRIF for some time. My RRIF holds primarily income stocks, and my more aggressive growth stocks are in an unsheltered account. MCAN just announced a nice big dividend increase. What is your opinion on this stock now? Thanks.
Q: I have done reasonably well on KXS despite the last quarter drop. What are your thoughts on locking in the profit and moving to a higher growth stock? If yes, can you suggest a replacement?
Thanks again.
Q: There has been a lot of gossip around my job side about a new investment in a cryptocurrency company called electroneum. To be honest, I have no intension of investing in it. I have just a layman's knowledge of bitcoin and blockchain and with all the hype starting to fly around this place I would appreciate a well grounded opinion of it. Maybe I could show them the answer you reply with.
Q: This may or may not be a question you can answer but any insight is appreciated.
My Mom is 88 years old, plays bridge twice a week and square dances twice a week and we spend 2 days a week having lunch She is in great health but, no one lives forever.
She has Property and investments worth U$600,000+ and she and I have reviewed her will which is in good standing. How can I best prepare on my end when the time does eventually come? And what hurdles can I expect as a Canadian inheriting US assets?
Q: PBH has consistently been one of your top 3 growth stock recommendations lately. Based on your recommendation, I am keen to initiate a position. However, every time I look at the stock chart it seems like it may be over-valued. When PBH Revenue and gross profit increase 25% year over year, but the stock price increase 55%, doesn't this indicate that PBH is over-valued? If PBH P/E is currently 36, isn't this trading at a premium to it's average P/E and there's more downside risk that it will return to trading fair value?
How do you calculate PBH as being one of the best valued stocks today?
Q: PCG stock price has tumbled fast for reasons that are most unfortunate. Many customers are suffering due to power outages and some or all the blame might be attributable to errors by PCG. Given that electric utilities should be in higher demand due to our migrating from fossil fuel to cleaner power: (1) is PCG now a buy at its depressed price? (2) Should one wait for clarification on who or what caused the fires in California? (3) If interest rates rise as expected in December, how would PCG share price be affected? (4) If PCG is found to be at fault, could it survive a multi-billion payments for damages and penalties? (BP has still not recovered from its environmental crimes)
Q: Morning 5i team... apologize in advance for the length of my question!
Am I wrong in thinking we should all looking for who will be the future big winners in the Marijuana sector? Personally, I think this is going to be a significant global industry moving forward with lots of cash flow yet, on September 20 you said “We are really not endorsing any in the sector…” when asked what company should be looked at.
My question(s) is two-fold;
First, do you mind me asking which you aren’t endorsing any companies in this sector? Is it because you don’t see any quality companies at hand? Or is it more of a sector avoidance thing? And on that thought, do you have an opinion on how this sector could play out over the next 5 years?
Second, QCC recently announced a non-brokered private placement of units of the Company at a price of twenty cents per unit for aggregate proceeds of up to $1 million. I have visited QCC personally and met with Management. Their operation appears to be running well, they are very busy, are a proud group and are very optimistic re their new BOSS C02 extractor (oil production) which according to them is cutting edge technology. I have seen these units first hand and up close and they do look slick. They produce an incredibly pure product which is difficult and costly to do, and I think Cannabis Oil has to be the future as no one will be comfortable getting behind anything that is carcinogenic.
It appears the stock has seen a nice gain in the past few days. Do you think it’s because of the placement news? (I know it’s small) Or is there another reason at hand for the gain? Can you provide any additional insight on the future of this company, (I know they are small) and if the Private Placement is a good thing, bad thing, or irrelevant because of the size? And do you think there is a market for growers buying their "portable" extractor?
I’d love to get into a small company that takes advantage of the Billions sure to be spent on cannabis products over the next 10 years plus!
Q: This morning I ask a question about fix income and recommended bshort duration bond ladders. You indicated that CLF or CBO would be your recommended choices. What is the difference?
Can you also recommend a short term bond ladder, corporate bond and preferred share ETF to hold USD in?
Q: Good day - What are your best recommended/favorite oil and gas producers at this time? With and without dividend. Is a dividend paying producer something you would consider?
Q: My favorite stocks are those that go up year after year without a hitch, and have a decent dividend. You appear to favour the same kind, as above. But you have no utilities in your balanced portolio. Would you please contrast the growth rates, dividend growth, stability and safety of the above with regard to why a utility like Algonquin would not fit in nicely?
Q: I hold both of these funds and wondered if I should only hold just one. PMOO5series F is 3.2 weight and the PM0209 is 2.4 weight. I am wondering if I should replaced the PM0209 with an ETF that has a better rate of return or just buy more of the PM005 and bring the weight up to 5%.
Thanks
Q: What is your opinion of a franklin templeton smart beta etf with ticker symbol flus.
It shows up with an ROE of 28 . Is it a good enough etf for exposure to the US market?
Q: My partner has $25k to invest in a new TFSA. Was thinking that 5 stocks of $5k each might be a good initial starting point. Do you agree? And could you make suggestions of stocks to add based on a moderately to aggressive approach. Her other investments inside a RRSP are primarily mutual funds or ETF based. Thanks!
Q: Would CPD be classified as 'fixed income'? What would be a recommended short duration ladder bond fund that you would recommend for diversification?
