Q: I still have my LSPD stock (at quite a loss) and just wondering with the current announcement of the companying possibly selling or taking it private, if this is the time to sell now or hold on to see what materializes? Is it conceivable that the Company could sell and if so, what might the stock price go to? Your thoughts please...
Thank you!
Thank you!
Q: It can be irritating to see bought deals but in this case it seems to be immediately accretive

Q: Up to what % would you be comfortable holding this XHC? I currently have a 5% and thinking of increasing this to 7% as I have no other exposure to the health sector.
Thanks

Q: How do I access the Forum section please? I've looked and my eyes must be painted on.

Q: I am wondering how often your members look at the posts in the forums section. There are a small number of us that post there fairly regularly, and I have been hoping that regular posts there would encourage more people to join in. Hasn't happened. How difficult would it be to put in a "views" feature on posts there, so that we could see how often people were even seeing the info being posted there. There is valuable stuff there - I have made over $100,000 based on stocks mentioned by others there, and the stock picks I made at the start of the year were up about 33% on average when I did a review a few weeks ago, but if people aren't using it, maybe the few of us are just having a small private conversation.
Q: What is a good entry point for this stock?
Q: Hello 5i team,
Considering how well the techs have done in the balanced portfolio, OTEX seems to be the laggard thus far. Are you still comfortable/confident with this equity. Do you still have patience for this one?

Dundee Corporation Cumulative Floating Rate First Preference Shares Series 3 (DC.PR.D)
Q: Not sure what the protocol is when a pref is taken back. I have normally sold before the recall date but both had a decent dividend due so I am still holding them. Do need to sell them or will Dundee take them back thru the broker?
Q: Today what would be your two highest conviction picks in the Silver space. Size of Cap doesn’t matter Mid risk is good. Growth is the goal.
Thanks for your help!

What are your top 2 international ETFs (ex-north america?).
What do you think of VIU?
Thanks
(Note I tried sending this in previously but not sure it went through so resubmitting)

Q: Hi,
If you were to create a mini model portfolio of an FHSA with a 5-year timeline and low-risk tolerance. What would your holdings look like? (stocks & allocation %)

Q: Just curious if there is a sector that dependably moves the opposite direction to Materials? Specifically I am thinking of Nutrien, and wondering if you can identify any companies that could be expected to move inversely to their Nutrien’s share price? Having ridden them up and back down, if I am going to keep owning the company I think I would intend to trade it in the future on the next upswing if I had an “anti-Nutrien” to switch into. Thanks for your thoughts.
Q: Considering what is happening to the Treasury yield curve, if one is looking for capital gains what maturity of bonds would you suggest at this time?
Q: After years of depressed share price, DWS is now rising fast. Do you know why this is happening?
Q: According to your people at 5i Research, the fact that a stock is considered to be expensive is not a reason for an investor not to buy it. You have argued that the stock can continue to remain expensive throughout its climb to higher and higher prices. A stock that exemplifies your position is Constellation Software (CSU). On the other hand, Shopify (SHOP) was also considered expensive in its heyday and then declined dramatically in early 2022. What aspect (or aspects) in SHOP’s case made it more vulnerable to a sharp decline compared to CSU?
I ask this because I’m considering buying shares in TransMedics Group (TMDX) which you have described as a high quality business but “expensive on valuation” (August 28, 2024). In your opinion, will TMDX have the same consistent growth curve as CSU or is it more like SHOP and should therefore be considered as having a higher probability of falling off a cliff at some point in near future?

Can I get your thoughts on Cenovus? Looking to enter for a 3-5year hold.
Thanks.

Q: Hi Team,
Prior to the CEO departure announcement in early July GSY was in a nice uptrend. Since then the stock has struggled gaining any ground; even though last earnings were record as usual and outlook looks fantastic. Do you see the CEO leaving and lack of replacement thus far as the main overhang in the stock performance recently? Any rumors swirling about who might be available to take the job?
