Q: This one popped this am on the news that it's drug may actually work. Would you recommend buying it even after this am's pop? Thank you in advance for your comments.
Q: Good morning,
I am interested in blockchain.
Not, the currency, but the technology behind the concept.
Do you have ideas on small/mid cap companies that are involved in blockchain as a business model?
thanks

Q: I just read Ryan's article on Direct Indexing and ETF's and basically that 0$ trade commissions with brokerage houses impact on this. I have never used a brokerage house and am not a frequent trader. What brokerage house(s) do you recommend?
What are the risks, disadvantages ( if any) compared to using a bank. How do they make their money then?
Regards
Kathy
Q: What's with this TRI CEO search story? The company is doing a candidate search and yet the TRI Board claims to fully support the CEO. Is this company really that dysfunctional? What going on?
Q: Just read your article on Direct Indexing and the one thing you did not mention is, should a person presently owning a number of ETF's be concerned or will I eventually sell them off and buy into Direct Indexing in order to save costs?
Q: A friend of mine who works in Venture Capital recently told me about a small tech fund that was being managed by Damien Leonard, Mark Leonard's son. The crazy part - it's the old PineTree Capital, that terrible mutual fund-like investment product that would buy speculative mining companies and ruin shareholder capital. The Leonard family home office (incl. some of Mark's cash) now owns over 30% of the company. Upon doing some research, it looks like the company is trading at a 25% discount to book value although the new tech investments are not disclosed.
What are your thoughts? Would this be an appropriate 1% position (despite low liquidity) knowing that very few people understand investing in software companies like Mark Leonard, Damien's biggest mentor?
Q: I am interested in small and mid cap companies involved in ONLINE gaming. With the trend in new forms of gaming (legalized sport betting & E- Sports, pending), what do you have on your radar?
Thanks

Q: I have just sold TSGI (at a 50 percent loss) and was thinking of adding to my GC position.
Haven't seen many stand alone questions about GC lately. Wondering what your current thoughts are, when they are due to report, and expected results
Thanks
Phil
Q: Can I please get your thoughts on AMTD? What percentage of revenues came from trading commissions? Do you think that revenue can be replaced by selling order flows or by other means in the short term (~18 months)?
The company seems to be incredibly profitable and has a large net cash position as well. The recent large drop appears overdone. I am considering purchasing a 4% long term position in a registered account for preferable dividend treatment. Thanks.
Q: Most companies report earnings after market. Some choose to report before market. Are these usually long term policy decisions or do firms choose on a Q by Q basis? And should we read anything into it when a firm chooses to report before market?
