Q: I wish to sell EFN to raise some cash over the next month. In your opinion is it best to do this before the split in early Oct. or to wait until after the split and see if the stock get a bounce post split.

Q: In this morning's Globe FN is touted as being a future "dividend aristocrat".

The article went on to state: "It is dominant among mortgage brokers, of which about one-third of Canadians seeking mortgages utilize. The company has close to a 20-per-cent market share there.

First National has shown good capital gains and strong dividend growth. “The company has been a solid, under-the-radar executor of a simple business strategy: become the most trusted and efficient operator in the mortgage broker channel.”
Would you agree with these comments?
Do you consider FN to be a "buy" at this time?

Q: I submitted this question last Thursday and received the auto response that my question had been submitted but since I haven't received a response I will try again.
My question relate to the income portfolio. We own many stock from the 3 portfolios but now that we are about to retire, we are trying to mimic the income portfolio. I understand that if one already owned ET, SPB, VNR, and DH that we should stick with them however, if one was constructing an income portfolio today can you suggest substitutes for these names? Also, given the dividend that ZCL pays, would it be suitable for an income portfolio?

Q: Hi team, I'm just starting up my portfolio, and am looking for exposure in the Mining & Metals industry. As my account is still small, I'm trying to avoid transaction fees. Can you suggest one or two ETF's that target this industry, which you like for a 3-5 year hold. While I'm looking for growth potential, a decent dividend never hurt!

Q: Hello,

I used to follow Parkit about 3 years ago and always thought the story was good. I have noticed in almost every city I have been in a lack of parking and an increase of price. Now that the board disagreements seem to be settled and a few new exec`s have been hired - could you offer comment here? Looks like the new CEO is a heavy hitter in the space. Given it's size (sub 10mln mkt cap) I understand all the risks, more just looking for your take.

Q: Thank you for your insight on RCL and PHM (Pulte Group).

Just as a follow up on the 5i data bank in case it is an issue elsewhere: When I put RCL in the symbol search and click on the green magnifying glass (5i should try it!) Royal Caribbean does indeed show up. Click on RCL. The answers/results one receives mostly address Ridley - my question and one in 2014 under RCL actually address for Royal Caribbean. Is it possible for 5i to separate the two companies?

Q: An article in the Globe w.r.t Segregated Fund.
Can you help me to understand how can Segregated fund guarantee to retain principle of invested money? Can you suggest such funds to invest in.
