Q: Good morning. I am underweight Materials and Industrials and want to add to my holdings in those sectors. I considering adding some or all of the above as new positions to my RRIF. Do you consider it is a good time to be adding these companies to my portfolio or do you have other suggestions in the Material and Industrial sector that you consider better to purchase at this time. Please take as many credits as you consider appropriate.
Thanks for your great advise.

Q: Hello Peter,
Is greenlane going to be another Xebec? I am puzzled that companies in this space can't seem to turn a profit. What do you think of Costco and United Health for long term hold? thanks very much.

Q: I'm confused when looking at the value in bond funds going up when the talk in town is that the rates will continue moving up even in Canada maybe a bit later this year. How is that? How do one reconcile that the the rise in yield moved in tandem with the rise in value Thursday and Friday?

Q: With whats happening in the markets currently with CM's admission of mortgage issues with SIVB debacle, rising rates, volatility etc could be the beginning of a big mess in the Financial services sector.

Although long term you are bullish on 4 of the 5 names do you think it would be prudent from a risk aversion viewpoint to step aside on these names and wait till things settle?

Can you also please comment especially on EQB and GSY and their outlook/risks in this cyclone.

Thanks

Sheldon

Q: There are many questions and recommendations regarding safe places to put cash these days and US treasuries..

Risks investing in US TREASURIES

A question was asked the other day about UTWO. Part of your answer mentioned a 4.9% yield. Very appealing. Tempting to buy.

But as a holder of UTWO are you guaranteed your capital at the end of two years ?

I am under the impression they trade more like bond etfs vs GIC’S here in Canada.

Can you clarify that please.

And given the volatility of the market how risky are these T bills?

Is there a way to buy them and be guaranteed your capital at the end of the designated time period.

Thank you.

I am thinking they trade more like bond

Q: Not sure which entity in the Brookfield group walked away from a loan obligation nor do I know the details. They along with PIMCO and Blackstone were mentioned on Bloomberg Wall Street week as entities that did this. I am very concerned about this. Could you share any details you might have on this.

Q: Hi, what do you think of these names to take advantage of the pullback in the financial sector due to the SVB bust? Or would you just stick with JPM and BAC? I realize that not all these banks are exactly comparable. Thanks,

Jason

Q: Hi there, with the failure of SVB, many regionals have also been sold off, possibly unjustifiably. Do you see any current opportunities in the space that seem like good buys? SCHW comes to mind but wondering your thoughts or if there are any others that look good here.
