Q: How would you characterize/rank TXN in the semi space? Is it diversified in its product offerings versus others and would you recommend it as an all-around buy or are there others you would prefer that may be more focused or in other markets? Thanks

Q: Hello,
I am looking for suggestions on REITs with focus on South East Asia. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Q: This question is on IShares North American Tech-Multimedia Networking ETF which trades on the nasdaq. (your system won't bring it up for me). It's impossible not to notice it rising nicely today (and this week) while everything else is falling. It doesn't appear to be highly liquid and so I hesitate to increase my holdings. But I'd like your opinion of the ETF.
Q: Just wanted your thoughts on why it's drifting lower and lower. Does 5i still consider it a growth story? Been very happy with my porfolio these days, but feel sorry a bit for the small portion I attributed to GUD. Thanks!
Q: Hi Peter, Ryan and team,
When Topicus starts trading next week, and with an eye toward a long term hold within a TFSA, how would you rank Topicus when compared to TRI, WSP and WELL?
Thanks.

Q: Could you please recommend a couple of replacement(s) for Great Cdn Gaming? It can be US or CDN and I'd like the replacement companies to have great management teams and be in the same sector. Companies in the leisure and entertainment space you think will come out of this crisis bigger and better. It doesn't necessarily have to be a casino company. Thanks a lot.

Q: I want to build an American ETF portfolio of 5-6 ETFs that pay a decent (4%-5%) yield. I have historically bought Canadian hedged ETFs for that purpose however I think there is a possible currency advantage to be had. I have looked at many many ETF questions in the 5i ETF folder and they seem to be very Canadian based. Would you be able to suggest 5-6 US based ETFs or more if you want to add a few more.
Thanks
Norm

Q: Hi, If you were to rate QST today would you give it a C rating or you think it is better company now than when coverage was discontinued..I have a small position on this as part of a small cap pool with higher risk but good potential. Thanks. Shyam
Q: From a value/ risk perspective what are your thoughts on the following rebalancing.
Move GSY from 4.65% of the total equity to 3%.
Then move ECN from 1% to 2.7%.
ECN is a recently initiated position.
Basically a partial switch.

Q: Hi 5i,
First of all, thanks for your advise to help me understand more for the US & Canadian stock markets. I have a feeling that the US market will end the over 10 years bull market soon and bear market will come in. Due to the issue of GME, BB, NOK, and AMC showing many "NEW" investors involve the US and Canadian market (because of the BB), specially the Reddit social media investor forums is not healthy. I guess the Canadian market may also affected, due to the BB issue. Just in case the bear market will come, what the above stocks need to be sold to play safe. I am thinking to sell KXS, LSPD, and NVEI, those stock prices may not be survival during the big drop in coming. Do you have the same feeling that the bear market will come? Can you please rank the above stocks able to survival during the bear market and please suggest to take off any just in case the worst worst things really happen.

Q: I'm currently holding about 30% of my portfolio in cash. Partly as a hedge and partly as liquidity should there be a market correction upcoming. The rest is invested in blue chip dividend paying stocks and a couple growth stocks.
I understand you don't give personal advice on weighting ands risk level but would you consider this too /very conservative?
I'm looking for suggestions to park the cash to make some sorta of return and can only come up with CMR but yield is so low not even sure if its worth it. Thoughts?

Q: Hello
Today CBC announced that the Governor of Michigan will try to shut down Enbridge's pipeline. If she is successful, what will be the impact on Enbridge's earnings?
Thanks

Q: Does it still make sense to invest in MGK (about 4% of portfolio), given all the talk about tech stocks being in a bubble? Asset allocation not a concern. Thanks, Martin
Q: Stuck in the country, maybe soon to be stuck in the province. Decided to explore my local lakes and decided to buy a boat. I figure a lot of others are in a similar position. A bit of further thinking got me into the idea of Brunswick Corp. Looks good by the numbers, and I want more US exposure....so would you be a buyer? My current portfolio is pretty conservative and I wouldn't mind mixing it up a bit, as I have 15-20 year time frame.
Thanks for your thoughts

Q: Just saw a post that the company has $1.50 per share cash and will collect fifty cents from every iphone sold... Is this true? That sounds like a lot of money. Will the royalty from iphones be collected retroactively, going forward or both?

Q: Today, Finland announced the introduction of a financial literacy strategy aimed at educating its population. This move is a direct result of increasing consumer credit defaults, a dangerous statistic for economic health.
The new program will rely on help from industry experts like bankers and insurance companies to create a curriculum. Social media influencers and TV personalities will help spread knowledge, too.
Finland seems to understand that you never really stop learning.
Thank you 5i for advancing Canada's financial literacy.
