Q: How do you guys think about an ETF like this that uses FCF as its screener ? Is this just another fad to avoid ?

Q: hi,
of the equites in the 5i model growth portfolio as of June 30, 2023 that are down 50% or more from inception ( ie in the portfolio ), are they all still recommended? buy/hold/sell? are you able to rank them in regards to which you think will perform better going forward at least 1 year? and, do you like any other CDN growth equites right now more than some that you have in the growth portfolio right now?
cheers, chris

Q: For over 12 months ending June the number of TSX 52 week lows exceeded the 52 week highs.
I notice that all 3 business days this week the number of 52 week highs have have exceeded the 52 week lows
In your opinion could this be a further sign that the TSX is entering a bull market phase.?

Q: In an earlier question asking whether it would be wise to buy atz now, you said you would hold if you owned it or wait till the dust settles, if you don’t. I have been thinking about taking a tax loss on it. The idea was to buy it in my rif, wait one month and then sell it in my non registered account. A lot can happen in a month, though, and i hesitate, wondering whether i should buy a place holder. I am a bit leery of Canada Goose, though. Perhaps i don’t even have to be in that sector for a place holder. Wondering about your thoughts on this?
Thanks as always

Q: Hi,
Do you think now is a good entry point for a long term hold on ZBU - or in your opinion it would be better to wait until rates start to decline?
Thanks as always for your advice.

Q: What would your top handful of stocks be in a TFSA with a 5-10 year time horizon.
Assuming nobody likes capital losses, especially in a TSFA.
Thank You

Q: Hi 5i
I own GXE in a TFSA and in the midst of today's bloodbath the value of my holding is down 45% from when I bought quite some time ago. There's not an overly significant amount of money involved and I can ride it out if that's the thing to do, but I would like to minimize my losses as effectively as possible.
With that in mind, what would you recommend I do - sell, hold or buy some more at the current depressed price, and why?
Thanks 5i, I look forward to your thoughts.
Peter

Q: I'd be curious to hear your opinion on $SYM. For a high growth high risk account.
Q: Good morning,
I recently asked a question about Equinix - thank you for your response. I also own Pure Storage, which is in a different sector from Equinix but seems related in that they both offer data storage - at least, that is how it seems to a non-techie like myself. Do you think these two are different enough to own both? My portfolio has too many small positions so I'm looking to concentrate and am wondering of one of these could be sold. Would you hold both? If you were to sell one, which would you choose?
Thank you,

-
BMO S&P US Small Cap Index ETF (ZSML $40.53)
Q: Yesterday, in an answer to a question about a small cap ETFs, you referred to XSU. That appears to be Canadian hedged but has a double layer of holdings by way of holding a share in a US fund, making it less efficient tax wise. Are there any other funds trading in Canada that are hedged but own the holdings directly? If so, can you pls indicate if you see them as a suitable place to invest. Thank you
