Q: Hi group what the heck is going on with W - its earnings are not being reported until Nov 3 yey it dropped 9% today - what the chances of info getting out ahead of earnings?- it sure smells fishy I know you do not follow US that close but could you comment on today trading I am still up but am nervous that the results on the 3rd are not going to meet expectations Appreciate your thoughts

Q: To avoid dividend withholding tax in an RRSP, the best solution from a tax perspective is to hold US ETFs that hold securities directly, such as VTI. This was your answer to my first question. Is there any downside for a Canadian RRSP investor to own a US listed ETF such as VOO? Thanks again.

From a tax perspective, no.
Further question to this conversation. Is there any downside to a Canadian RRSP investor owning a US listed ETF from any other perspective than taxation? Any downside from any perspective. Thanks.

Q: Hello
I own three consumer staples in US market.
In the last year Mondelez has much out-performed Coke and Diageo by a long shot. But If I go to a five year chart they all performed equally well.

Do estimates point to Mondelez out-performing the other two in the next year or two? The reason I ask is I am wondering if I should just hold Mondelez since the Coke and Diageo are not performing well of late.

Long term investment hold, 20 years plus.

Q: Hi team,I am thinking about pulling the trigger on either PLTR or SSSS.
They are both interesting companies but with a high volatility.
Which one would you pick and why?what is the relationship at this moment between the two companies.Do SSSS still own a fair chunk of PLTR and was lousy IPO of PLTR warranted for SSSS price to drop that much?
