Q: Hi Peter and Company,
I currently have a position on RY, TD and BNS and I am thinking of moving some money from Canadian banks to US banks. So of the three aforementioned banks that I currently hold, which one would you take off the table and is there a U.S. bank that you can recommend?
Cheers,
Harry

Q: TD is showing a p/e ratio of -94.57 for bep.un, I know you are not concerned with this company but I am wondering how a company with a negative P/E is in good shape. I have a lot to learn, thank you. Peter
Q: I'm long CRH but I'm trying to consider all the negative outcomes that could take place. We are aware of the proposed code changes that will effect the reimbursement rate to CRH. But I keep hearing that private insurers will likely follow suit and cut back their reimbursement rate. If only the gov rate cut is factored into this big pull back could there possibly not be another big pull back if they cut back as well? I know CRH came out and stated what the hit to earnings would roughly be from GOV cuts but aren't the private insurers the majority of their income. Thanks
Q: Given Fairfax's recent investment in AGT I'm looking for an opinion on the company. How would you rate it for growth among other company's in the consumer defensive sector?
As always, thanks for the great service. I find the Q&A board and the reports extremely helpful in making investment decisions.

Q: Hi 5i, Rrx did not leverage to oil price, Tog and Spe are up but Rrx went to opposite direction, why? Thanks always.
Q: Dividend was cut under new financing arrangements - Should I sell and cut losses or is this still a hold in your opinion - I loved the Gold play that had a Dividend but now it seems like a longer wait for income.
Q: Can you please comment on the recent earnings? Do you think the stock is a buy at this price?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: I have a question about Slate office rest. Can you comment on the current investment attractiveness of Slate?
Q: Why is BNS and the other banks shares price decreasing lately? With the positive economic news and increase of interest rates, I would have thought that the bank shares would be moving higher.
With increasing interest rates and banks at attractive valuations, would it be a good time to go overweight in banks for an income investor who is attracted to the 3.7%+ yields and possible capital gains.

Q: Hi 5i - Does THO have significant operations contributing to revenue other than those related to the troubled property? I'm wondering if the selling has been overdone and if one should take a position at this point.
Q: Comments on earnings
Q: Hi. This is my first time posting a question, or rather three questions. Why would a small-cap company like ABT want to issue dividends? Is there any benefit for them to do so? Is there dividend in more danger of being cut, because they are a small-cap company?

Q: Good morning,
I recently (last 2 weeks) added BCE, Enbridge and Goeasy to my kids' accounts with a 2-3 years investment horizon. Last night's guest on Market Call had nothing but bad things to say about these three companies as long term investments. I rely a lot on what I hear on market call is that a mistake and do you think my entry points were ok?
Thank you,
Chantal

Hello Peter
Is there any reason to avoid Bank of Commerce? It has a trailing P/E of 8.96, dividend of 4.52%, is by far the cheapest of all the Canadian Banks and would seem to be a best buy. Are there any problems anticipated with the new US acquisition? Anything I am missing? Is a 6% position in CM ok for income added to existing positions in RY 4%, BNS 3%, and TD 2%?
Thank you......... Paul K
