Q: Hi 5i
What is your current opinion and outlook for Dell, given Nvda results. How comfortable would you be holding going into earnings today? Are they expected to meet their estimates or is it essentially a coin toss? They seem to be on a continued downward path.
Are Dell and HPQ considered similar ?
Would 5I have any interest in Dell at current prices?
Thx
Q: Hello, I saw your answer on VIU (May 29th), suggesting not to buy it in a TFSA. Is there an alternative for a TFSA in CDN$? Looking for an equity ETF ex-NA. Thanks
Q: How would you rate these for holding in the SMID Growth section of a portfolio (A couple may not be SMID, which means they just may not be forever keepers for me) - I hold all except SNPS and NOW, which I've been watching, and I’m thinking of consolidating into 6-8 positions, but could keep more. I'm considering 3-4 for shorter-term growth, 1-3 years, 3-4 for longer-term growth, 5-10 years. Please order from most conviction to least with a preference to Shorter (S) or longer(L) or either (E). Thanks!
SNPS, NOW, GLXY, KSI, FOUR, ROAD, CLBT, CRM, HPS.A, VHI, GENI, SRAD
Q: Hi Peter…Any red flags with GOT’s latest private placement? Are the “Broker Warrants” a deal sweetener? I presume the Broker will want to peddle the warrants to the major shareholders at some point in the future…maybe when the warrants are “in-the-money”. Any thoughts you have would be appreciated.
Regards,
Jim
Q: Hello Folks:
Unfortunately we have lost approx. close to 30% of our EMAX investment in the last few months. The current dividend is 16%; up from 13% upon purchase.
Should we accept this loss, move on or wait? Are there superior choices for this stock (we did primarily consider it an income investment, although a little growth potential would be okay). A goodly proportion of our investments are in energy; how do you view this sector and it's outlook?
Thank you for your most terrific service!!!!

Q: Hello 5i,
Is there an exceptional amount of ROC for NXF.B and if so is it meaningfully detrimental to an investment in this. I enjoy the distribution but I do not want it to bite me in the butt when I finally sell. I have nine such cover call ETF's ( HDIV, HHLE, HMAX, HYLD, NXF.B, QMAX, SMAX, UMAX, ZWH.U) out of 48 positions making up 11% of the portfolio of mostly blue chip solid dividend payers. Am I heading for a disaster when I sell in a 5 to 8 year time frame? 79 year old value investor enjoying dividends.

Q: Having recently reported quarterly results could you review them and discuss whether you think the company is continuing to recover and represents a good retailer to buy at this point? Thank you.
