Q: Hi 5i,
I recently sold Fresh DelMonte Produce/FDP after a nice run up. Apart from Nutrien/NTR I have no other agricultural related stock or ETF.
Could you recommend one or two options (either stock, ETF or both) as a good replacement?
Have to say, bit of a confusing world at the moment?
Much appreciated.
Ralph

Q: Good day,
For exposure to gold, I'm looking at getting into an ETF or two. Would you suggest both a gold bullion ETF and a gold producers ETF or would they move in tandem and only one is needed?
Can you recommend some gold ETFs?
Thanks,
Robert

Q: In the event that the USD reverses course and starts to become even moderately devalued (e.g. BRICS decides to actually develop an alternative trading currency system that by-passes the USD), how should Canadian investors strategize and position themselves within the various asset classes?
Q: How do you see the Canadian bank stocks doing in the present interest rate and political environment?
Q: Hello
two part question. First, If you were to choose between CM ot TD . Which one would you prefer? Is there a better bank you prefer? TD has a higher yield and has exposure to US markets
Secondly, do you think Financials will be hit further. . If so, do we stay put ?

Q: Hi - what would be your general stance on REITS in Canada right now. They have taken a decent hit today on the tariff news. Are they oversold? Bottom line, and I know it's a broad question that is hard to answer specifically but would you buy, hold, sell Cdn REIT sector?
Q: Of these two which would have the safer dividend and some growth for a retired senior longer term ?
Q: Good morning. In your report this morning you outlined TOU as an addition to the Income Portfolio with a yield of 5.8%. The yeild is more like 2.1%, is'nt it?
Q: Is CP and/or TFII a sell right now with the pending tariff discussions? What do you think about these holdings in the current environment?

Q: I wondered what Trump would do to support the market, and now we have it.
A sovereign wealth fund!
A ludicrous idea for the U.S. which is not only a currency issuing government, it is also the reserve currency.
However, a deep pocketed buyer of U.S stocks will inevitably push p/e's higher.
While the insanity grows, we might as well make some money.
Hopefully Ryan speaks to the potential impact of this for investors in his webinar tomorrow.

Q: You say the Canadian market is up 5% since trump started talking about tariffs, how much is the US market up since then?
Q: I saw Eric Nuttall’s article on the case for building more pipelines to broaden our customer base for Canadian energy. I like the idea and think the public could (finally) get behind this. What companies would benefit from this type of project in the short term? Long term?
Q: I read one of the questions pertaining to GoEasy which talked about them being resilient during the 2008 financial crisis. In 2008, were companies such as GoEasy really impacted here in Canada ,as the banking regulations are different in Canada and the crisis was much more prevalent in the US. But this time around, if the tariff's kick in and a recession hits Canada, do you believe that GoEasy will still be able to weather the storm in a similar fashion, as I feel that there has been a very huge selloff of GoEasy in recent months. Do you think it may be overdone?
Q: If we put aside the normal indicators for Gold and consider the geopolitical climate that is surfacing day to day around the world, along with the US potentially having some instability within their own borders and the instability with their allies, is it a good time to buy gold as an investment? What do your a believe are the pluses and minuses for Gold increasing in value over the course of the next 12 months?
Q: Before any news about Deep Seek , analyst were saying that NVDA was still in a buy position looking long term. What do we think today ? Is this a temporary pull back ? Thanks for your thoughts.
Q: I would like to increase my investments in foreign, but non-USA situs, companies, by buying ADRs (as my estate would be subject to US estate taxes). Currently, I have smallish positions in NVO (NovoNordisk; Danish) and ALC (Alcon; Swiss), which I am planning to add to. However, I would like to invest in up to three additional ADRs. My approach to investing (over the past 3 decades) is very long term buy & hold (indefinite holds, to bequeath to future generations), so I am aiming for high-quality companies. Can you perhaps provide your thoughts on NVO and ALC, as well as suggest up to 5 additional ADRs for consideration? (I'm not a fan of tobacco or gaming stocks, but generally open to wide spectrum of ideas.)

Q: Dear 5i team.
Just curious which REIT owns the warehouses in Quebec that Amazon appears to be vacating with the announcement that they are closiing them all in the Province?
It will be a temp hit as they find new tenants, but is it material in the short term?
Thanks for your help in this regard.
