Q: Two part question here. I am trying to add PEG ratio to my thinking about stocks. It seems like a useful metric that combines growth with value. But I don't see it listed frequently enough for Canadian equities. I presume you work with trailing P/E and divide it by growth rather than forward P/E. Is that correct? I also realize I should be looking out for oddities in trailing P/E that shift it one way or another. Anything else I should be looking for? Second, I look at GOOG and it reads well at both a very reasonable forward P/E and PEG under 1. Are there other stocks you see with that combination? Thank-you.

Q: I remember hearing that CNQ breaks even at $50 dollar oil. Question is, is this true, and does that include dividends. Also, I would like to know about CVE, Whitecap. I am wondering about US oil companies in the basins of Texas area and Montana area. What oil price do they need to keep operating (cost of operations).
Thank You again for your excellent services.

Q: Can I have your thoughts on th quarterly results reported this morning? I found the news release quite encouraging, despite a languishing stock price. The results seemed pretty good to me, they are buying back shares, they report terrific demand for their product, and they say the tarif chaos gives them more and better opportunities to expand. So why is the stock price languishing??? or am I missing something

Q: Hi 5i
I picked up some UBER @ ~69 in January. Now it is ~85 and earnings out next week. Normally I keep stocks 3 years or longer, but with 24% gain I'm considering taking profit. How does it usually react post earnings? With King Chump, you just never know when he will say or do something that spooks investors (perhaps firing Powell so he is the fall guy that gets blamed for the recession King Trump brought on with his tariff fiasco).
Thanks, Greg

Q: Hello Team,

I'm reviewing 2 of my holdings.

WGX - Do you still like this name as a long term gold hold or are there any other companies you would swap with. I hold LUCA as my only other gold stock.

ATH - Same question, do you still like this stock or any other names you would switch with. I hold CJ as my only other resource stock.

I'm okay with high risk high reward stocks.

Thanks

Q: Would you know much about Questrade’s new Securities Lending Program? It looks like everyone has to opt in when they log in to the platform, and it allows Questrade to lend out an investor’s stocks and ETF’s. Not sure how that works and why! The investor collects passive income but loses CIPF coverage, and according to Google, may not receive dividend payments while the shares are lent out. I’m not sure about it all so went in and opted out. Would you opt in? Thanks.

Q: Hi Peter, interested in your short term and longer term thoughts on BRK since Warren's announcement that he the legend is passing the reins to Greg Abel this year while he (W) will maintain a more advisory role. We all knew it would come but lol though it's still rattling inc making many of us feel older as well. The stock will likely drop on this, especially when combined with the tepid quarter. How much of a premium is built in due to Warren vs if it was just another holding company. Greg Abel (from Edmonton) is obviously extremely capable and we love his humility, energy and endorsement but how will the market see this ? Where would you add ? Thank you.

Q: Hi team,
What are you're views on CS,s latest quarter? Seems like the tariffs uncertainties are keeping a lid on their stock price! If we are heading into a recession would it be best to sell now and revisit at the end of the recession ,if their is one? Also their debt ratio seems elevated.Looking for a two to three year hold.
Many thanks,
Jean
