Q: I read a recent review in Morningstar and this sounded rather appealing. It would be held in a rrif as a conservative large cap hold. As the gurus seem to feel the C$ has gotten ahead of itself would it be a reasonable purchase time, although that probably matters less than the low fee. (Schwab US Dividend Equity)

Q: Hi team, I know you've mentioned that you don't like dual-class shares. But don't you think that in ATD's case it has actually worked very well? The stock has gone up 500+% in 5 years. Maybe this wouldn't have been achieved had the founders not have had the 10 vs. 1 votes. They obviously have done an excellent job. Your comments pls.

Q: I see Apple is down in after market or pre trading. What does that mean and can a retail investor have access to that? Many feel that the market moves for people in the know before us mere mortals. These types of things don't encourage investment if people think rightly or wrongly that the market is rigged.

Q: i am reading all your answers to couche tard questions as the stock gets hammered day after day, i have added a few hundred shares each day as it keeps dropping, now own 4000 shares. my question is could there possibly be something else going on other than the 2 class of shares-- the price of oil, the cdn. dollar etc etc. some downgrades somewhere i have not seen, i agree with you it makes no sense but maybe we are all missing something. dave

I know that they usually imply voting or non voting shares but could you please expand their status more specifically and how do they effect investment potential and which are preferred and when. What does voting or non voting actually mean and when are each the best investment? Your informed comment please.

Just when I thought DHX was about to get traction, they issue more shares.
Here goes another spiral down, thoughts?

Q: Given that these two ETFs have almost exactly the same holdings and similar MERs why does XRE have a 5.3% distribution yield and VRE have a 2.45% distribution yield?

Q: I sensed that when I looked at the DH results, it was kind of soft (as confirmed by you in the earlier answer). Also, the dumping leading to the day of the release is a strong sign the market will react negatively. All have since come true.

Of course. based on the opening actions, I also sensed that the "shorts" could be at work to milk their last cent out of this stock. Hence the big dive and the big volumes at the opening bell.

Based on your experience watching market actions, am I right about this? Or I'm just a paranoid small retail investor grasping for answers?

If I'm right hopeful that would get rid of the volatility grapping this stock for the last while (with the departure of the shorts) and normal trading would resume.
