Q: Héroux-Devtek Inc. (TSX—HRX) recently made an acquisition of Compañía Española de Sistemas Aeronáuticos (CESA), a leading European provider of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems in the aerospace industry. Could you please update your opinion of this industrial company and provide an outlook for the long term (3-5 years)?

Q: In the true spirit of the holidays I would appreciate your opinion on the three wine/spirit companies that have done very well over the last year. What is your top pick? Or should I just buy smaller holdings of each?

Q: I am balancing out my portfolios and was just wondering if I should be looking at trimming (and adding) in the Balanced Equity Portfolio so that each stock is lets say 3.8 % holding?? I see your CSU (as is mine) is over 6% (I have others) so should I trim and balance or sit and wait. TY for your sage advice and just wanted to wish everyone a safe and happy festive season.

Q: My spouse has an RRSP that models the 5iR income portfolio. She also has a balanced portfolio like the 5iR one and it is twice the size of RRSP which she will be drawing on in about 4 years. The current RRSP positions do not require to be rebalanced. She would like to add positions to the RRSP, even if it means somewhat overweight certain positions. What are the 5 income portfolio equities that she should consider at this time?

Q: I held this company into receivership and it was showing a zero value in my portfolio. With the BC NDP announcing they will go ahead with the Site C dam, I noticed the PRW website is back online and the stock is showing a $.064 value. Will the company come back to life to complete the work? Will they be able to regain control from receivership? or will the partnership in site-C be sold by the receiver to a new bidder?

Q: I am considering buying ENF. I know 5I prefers ENB but my reasoning is that...
1} ENF has a higher dividend and is committed to the same 10% annual increase
2} Though ENF has shown related volatility it hasn't been as extreme as ENB
3} ENF is well off it's highs and offers a 7% yield while I wait. So I don't really see it as solely income.
My questions are
1} How if any does the debt of ENB which seems to have investors spooked effect ENF and does ENF have debt investors may or should be concerned with ?
2} ENF is issuing shares. Why should I pay a premium now rather than waiting til the shares hit the market and buying after investors digest the dilution ?
Thanks Garth
