Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.
Q: Curious what you think about SYLD? Is this something you would recommend? If so how much of a fixed income portfolio should it represent? If not, do you have other suggestions? Looking to increase returns of my fixed income investments as I get closer to retirement.
Q: What is your view of the company after the latest results. Would recommend adding/buying after the jump?
Appreciate your insight, Peter

Q: We’re retired with comfortable pensions and a 10 year+ investing horizon. To date we’ve invested in Canadian growth companies inside our TFSAs (we’ve tried to access the US market through companies such as WSP and PRL). We’ve recently opened a $USD trading account and want to start investing in relatively stable US companies with some growth potential. ISRG is one we’re considering. Could you please provide a list of 6-8 companies you’d be looking into if it was your money. Thanks so much for all you do.

Q: I sold my full positions in APPL and NEE plus sold half my position in VERT this morning. I would like 2 good dividend payers with a growth metric, and 2 small/ mid caps for a 2-3 year hold.
Other positions currently held are: MSFT, SYK, AMZN, ISRG, GOOG, ABBV, JPM, PRU, AGX, CRS.
Thanks for all the above over the years. David

Q: Hello,
I own KMP.UN and just received a large package from them requesting I vote for or against.
They are asking shareholders to approve the plan of arrangement as Appendix E.
I made an attempt to go through it and understand what they were proposing but admit it wasn't clear to me.
Could you please clarify what they are asking shareholders to vote on and interpret it for us in simple talk.
With thanks
Sheldon

Q: Can you provide an 'idiot's guide' answer to what FTN is and how it works.
Would it have been a good investment over the last 3 years compared to an average dividend paying stock?
Would you recommend it as a good investment for the next 3 years given anticipatedmarket conditions? Thanks

Q: I have a small amount of BAM from the previous spinoff. I like the Brookfield companies and am looking for a good growth dividend stock. Do you think it is too late to add more BAM?
Appreciate your insight.

Q: What do you think of QXO? As far as I understand it is a very brilliant founder who has grown similar businesses, put in hundreds of millions of his own capital, has a lot of the same team in place, and is looking to grow and build in a fragmented industry.
What do you think/what can you tell me about the outlook of the company/valuation, growth prospects, etc? I see it has almost 1/5th of its market cap in cash.
I'm a bit weary of these types of situations after GUD, but also that could just be a shortsighted behavioral bias.

Q: Hello,
I'm looking for a way to park some money for one-year to pay down part of my mortgage after that. What are some low risk options to maintain liquidity if I need to use the funds for some emergency?
Thanks for your help!

Q: Looking at BAM and BN - who has the higher expected growth rate and who has the higher margins? BAM has higher yield but total return is the goal!
Q: Please provide comments on their latest results and their current debt vs equity position. With a 17% drop after reporting their results, do you think the drop is overdone? Would you continue to hold or sell for tax loss?
Q: Can you please comment on TIH's recent quarterly earnings. In what order what you add these industrials for a long term hold: TFI, TIH, WSP
Q: Hello 5i
I just noticed that in answer to a question you have put adt.ca ahead of premium brands in its category as a favourite pick. I have been worried that adt direction may be looking for a big way to make their mark in their acquisition. I have wondered whether that would bring them to abandon their usual caution. I hold pbh at now, a quite small capital gain and have been thinking about selling it. Just wondering what makes you so confident about this deal. And also, whether it is good enough to make the switch?
Thanks for this great service
