Q: Do you see this stock recovering and if so what level would you see it trading back up to. Is there any fundemental support at any level. For the long term 3-5 years would you be comfortable holding this name here?

Q: Re your answer to Terence that he will not be able to claim his loss on LSPD because he bought them back in ANOTHER account within the 30 day period. The capital loss can be added to the Adjusted Cost Base of the new shares so that he eventually will get the benefit of the loss PROVIDED he bought the new shares in a taxable account. I have at times ignored the 30 day rule when it was beneficial to rebuy shares within the 30 days.
Q: I am considering investing a small portion of my overall portfolio in "green" bonds and came across a company called CoPower that I believe is partially owned by VanCity Community Investment Bank. It looks like it has a return of around 5% but you must hold it for 5 years. Is that correct?
What can you tell me about the company and whether this would be considered a "safe" (relative term) investment similar to other corporate bonds.
Thanks!

Q: I bought SLF a few years ago expecting to benefit from increasing interest rates. SLF has been a stellar performer despite the trend of lower interest rates this past year, especially at the longer end of the curve.
I’m certainly not complaining but am a little confused by the strong performance in a weakened rate environment.
Could you shed some light on the reason for their outperformance and prospects going forward. (I’m thinking of taking some profits)

Q: My wife and I are interested in growth possibilities for our 2020 TFSA contributions. Thanks to your previous advice we’ve done very well on SHOP, LSPD, KXS, GSY, CSU. We’re solely interested in tax-free growth in our TFSA accounts and have investing balance covered in other accounts. Considering positive momentum, which of these would you recommend adding to for the most torque?
Alternatively, could you recommend 2-3 other picks you could get behind at this time.

Q: I hold BEP.UN in both my RRSP and non-registered accounts. It's having a good run and is now roughly 7.5% of my portfolio. I'm starting to think about lightening up to 5% on it even though it shows no sign of slowing down yet. The 2.5% i would sell would eliminate the holding in the RRSP to no tax consequences.
Deciding to sell a stock is always a struggle for me. Which of these options would you recommend:
Use a trailing stop loss (for the 2.5%) to protect against a hard reversal in SP and just let it ride?
or
Use near the money, 1 or 2 month covered calls on the 2.5%?
or
Sell the 2.5%.
or
Just continue to hold the 7.5%
Your advice is always appreciated.

Q: I have invested in all the Brookfield companies, most recently with a purchase of BBU.UN in my TFSA account. I have read that there may be tax withholdings for this investment that I cannot recover. Should I sell BBU.UN that I currently own in my TFSA account and purchase it in my open account?

Q: I have small positions in the above, except for npi. I am considering selling some of bep.un,which is up close to 80% and purchasing some npi. I also have bam.a and bip.un. In my portfolios. Would you please comment on this proposed adjustment and your rationale? If yes, would you wait for a pullback in bep.un. Thank you.
