Q: Hi Guys can you comment on vets results

Q: Why would VET down so much yesterday? The results are really not that poor. Thanks.
Q: How do you recommend holding various investments? I am self employed with my own incorporated company, I am 32 so also have a long timeline. With my accountant we have structured my income to be very low for personal income tax. Do you recommended first filling tfsa then rrsp (since I don’t really need the write off) then moving to non registered for whatever’s left? Or do you recommend a continual mix or possibly omitting the rrsp to save on tax later in life? How do you generally decide what to hold in which account? I know lots of this would be specific to the individual but some general advice/opinion would be appreciated.
Q: Could you tell me when the date of the Berkshire Hathaway’s annual meeting is in Nebraska. Is it may 5, 2018? Do you have any experience with their meetings. I would like to go while Warren is still active. Are there other events surrounding the actual meeting. Mike

Q: Hi 5i,
I have checked your Q & A on these three and since your comments are from awhile ago, I wonder about your current views. How would you rank them? Long term view. Thanks Paul

Q: I've followed this stock from $15 through $35 and back to $20. It seems like it's in the right industry, holds cash, has low debt, has been increasing both revenue and earnings (from what I can tell) but just can't get itself together.
Despite its 'widow maker' status, when is it just to cheap to pass up? When does it get bought out?
Cam.

Q: Are there any utility companies with low debt levels? Canadian or American.
My thoughts are that with increased adoption of electric vehicles, electricity demand will continue to grow in a substantial way. I would like to invest in an electric utility for the long term based on this expected trend. However with the potential for rising rates, a company with large debt loads may not see as much benefit from increased demand as a company with lower leverage.
Your thoughts please.

Q: Hi Peter and 5i:
In my grandkids (ages 3 and 2) RESP I currently have as core ETF's:
XIU - $14,000
XAW - $11,000
I have this years contribution of $6,000 to invest.
My plan is:
1. Start doing some individual stocks.
2. Reduce XIU by $7,500 and buy TD.
3. PHO - Invest $3,500 (or might you suggest ZQQ)
4. XAW - Invest $2,500
Does the above portfolio approach look reasonable to you? Look forward to your suggestions and always valuable feedback.
Thanks so much.

Q: Hi there
There is constant IT security breaches and talk about IT security which is mostly what Absolute Software does. One would assume that spending by small and big firms is constantly going up in this area to ensure not security issues arise. I see ABT stock continues to drop to all time lows in this environment. Is this an issues with Absolute's product not being adopted by firms e.g. do they have a good product mix? Just wondering is this a stock you see will recover at some point in the next few years? Is it a possible takeover target?

Q: Hi Peter, I have 10.6% of my portfolio in VXC. My goal for investments outside Canada is 15%. Should I include companies like MFC in this? If so what would be your favourite TSX company for this type of investment? Also, at what level CAD would you sell a hedged ETF like VXC? Thanks.

Q: Hi guys,
Further to my question about AltaGas Thursday morning, is it fair to say ALA is being unfairly punished? The yield is at 9 %, forward estimates suggest growth and profitability etc. What is your take? Time to get greedy with this one?
