Q: Hi 5i,
I accumulate cash in my TFSA until I have enough to purchase a meaningful position in a stock. What are some good options you'd recommend for holding the cash in to generate interest while it accumulates?
Thanks for all you do -
Evan

Lumine Group Inc. (LMN)
Q: My TFSA is roughly equal parts EIF, LMN, and WELL. MY TFSA is roughly 5 % of total reg. and non registered accounts. I am retired and have used my TFSA for more growth orientated stocks; with limited success. I am looking to replace these stocks ( which I also hold in other accounts ) , with HTA. I hold HTA in other accounts as well. HTA gives me access to 20 of the largest tech stocks and an 8% return which I receive every month ( important to a retiree ). Am looking at doing this in stages with EIF first and then the other two depending on fundamentals, relative value, etc.
Would you do this in stages or in one shot recognizing that I own these in other accounts ?
Your thoughts of HTA as a single holding in a TFSA to be representing 8 % of total portfolios ?
Thanks. Derek

Q: Thoughts on the hiring of Goldman to review a possible sale?
Q: Your previous price recommendation wad $8.50. Now that it is approximately $6.50, would you recommend starting a position and could you please comment on recent Australian acquisition? Thanx.
Q: I'm looking at PEY and FRU for dividend income, and possibly a little appreciation. Their recent price doesn't seem to be too effected by gas/oil prices going down -or are they perhaps offset by interest rates going down at the same time? Could you compare these; do you have a preference? How high a risk are they? What is a good entry point for both? Thanks!
Q: Can you name companies in a space similar to ERIE worth looking at? Also, is ERIE “to good true” or just highly (P/E 53) valued? What would be a reasonable buy-in price?

Paramount Resources Ltd. Class A Common Shares (POU)
Q: The performance of these two Oil & Gas stocks have been a disappointment of late and thus far this year...
What are your thoughts on these stocks and holding them for awhile longer until gas prices increase or biting the bullet and switching to ARC Resources and TOU?
Thank you.

Q: I wonder if you can tell me the yield on DYN6004, the ISA - F savings account/fund from Bank of Nova Scota Itrade.
Shortly I will have about $150K to park for 6 months inside an Itrade TFSA, and think this is where I should put it.
Any other suggestions for a 3 to 9 month 'parking' inside of Itrade TFSA (or could be taken out to non-registered acct) would be appreciated!
Thanks!
Paul

Q: Hi folks, received shares from the spin-off, what are your thoughts on the company? Add or sell the position? Thanks.
Q: What do you think of the RBC Target Bond Index funds. These are designed to synthesize the return on a single bond for a specific year of maturity. Are they likely to be a good place to put some cash for the next year or two ?
Q: They took a big hit today --Is this a good time to add to my position?
Q: Hi Peter and 5i,
Loblaw's is up YTD 40% and 1 year 56%. I keep thinking about taking a bit of money off the table here.
Then I review their financial metrics - ROIC-up, EPS-up, Margins - improving, Dividend growth - stellar, Payout ratio - low, Price/EPS - current is basically the same as historical averages, share count - decreasing since 2014.
Am I missing anything here with regards to the current valuations as compared to their historicals. Is this just a company that is firing on a cylinders (despite the news headlines) with their grocery, Shoppers and PC Financial products. Love PC optimum and their Insiders Credit Card!
Thanks for your always great feedback.

Q: What do you think of FRU.ca vs NPI at these levels for a long term hold? Are there tax consequences for a royalty company I should be aware of?
I own CNQ, ENB, CPX, H and a little HSP already but I'm finding it hard to resist the dividends (and hopefully growth) of FRU and NPI. Should I add to one of the companies I already own or buy NPI or FRU as well?
