Q: What do you think of the mix of REITS I am planning to buy to represent the real estate portion of my portfolio which would be 5% total? Any suggested changes?

Q: 9:50 AM 8/1/2018
The only REITs/Healthcare I own are SIA [3.3% position] and CSH.UN [3.8%]. I am considering buying one or more other REITS for the long term for the income. Could you please advise what REITs in any sector you would suggest that are sufficiently robust to prosper through the next inevitable market correction/crash, have low enough debt not to be of great concern, have a history of growth and rising dividends, and hopefully pay dividends in the 5% range.
Thank you.............. Paul K

Q: I would like to purchase some dividend paying stocks for a non-registered account. What would be your top five recommendations for dividend paying stocks (minimum 3.5 % payout) that are also likely to have some capital appreciation over the next 3 years. Please do not include pipeline or financial stocks as I all ready have these two areas well covered. Also, are your recommendations good buys at this time.

Thanks

Q: After many years I am deciding whether to throw in the towel on Extendicare I know the stock has never been a 5i favourite
Demographics say this should be a growth stock but Extendicare has been a dog
Do you think there is any hope for this stock Should I wait until Extendicare reports In August

Could you suggest a replacement in the same space hopefully with a similar yield
Thank you

Q: Recently, I got cash from AAR.un buyout from Blackstone. To replace AAR.un I thought about these two companies (I have no exposure to senior housing now) What is your opinion about these two companies ?, Main risks and resistance to a downturn in the economy. Will you favour one over the other ? Or split the funds equally on both ?

Q: https://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2018/05/03/premier-calls-allegations-against-nursing-homes-disturbing-and-upsetting.html

Would this type of allegation lead you to cut half the position or perhaps entirely? I have quite a large (overweight position) in SIA and have it as a DRIP for a number of years. I have about 40 percent of my position in free shares and want to continue to build my portfolio around the aging demographic. I have considered selling some SIA and putting a bit more into SIS as well as Park Lawn, but the dividend income being re-invested has done me well and provides a nice safety net on a long term hold. THoughts?
